Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts Dream Weapons

Here's something I never understood.

Legitimately, the Dream Rod and Dream Shield can be obtained, so how come the Dream Sword can't?
I mean, it would have been kind of cool to have a "dream" match.

Anyway, thoughts?

 

Well Donald and Goofy use the Staff and Shield respectively, so you'd think there'd have to be some sort of "ultimate" weapon for them, just like Sora has the ultima keyblade. I imagine if Sora's primary weapon were a sword you'd be able to obtain the Dream Sword.

 

Aren't Save the Queen and Save the King their ultimate weapons?

 

KH1 i'm unsure of. KH2 yeah. Maybe they figured since Sora has the keyblade it'd be unfair to give him a legendary Dream Weapon? Although i suppose he's able to use it in days. Geez i don't know.

 

In 358/2 days if you have the ultima gear and equip them to sora, donald, or goofy.

 

Yeah , you can make save the king and save the queen in both KH1 & 2.

KH1 too.
And Sora doesn't get equip it because since Destiny Islands his weapon on the menu is changed to "Keyblade" from "Sword".
Well, that actually doesn't do anything, but canonicaly, he has to wield it to defeat heartless.
Heck, he may not even be able to equip other things seeing as the key appears whenever he swings his hand.

They just... use it?

 

Use what? sorry , i never played KH Days properly :C

 

When you apply something like that their weapon changes to whatever you equipped them with.

 

Hm, I always thought that this is because there is no character who can equip it? But to the story's side, this may be because Sora wouldn't kill heartless with a Sword.
