Kingdom Hearts Death Note

Here's a story I cam up with after recently starting to watch the anime Death Note. Enjoy! Oh, one more thing. Natalie is from Destiny Force's awesome story Sora Kairi SWITCHED! You have to read it. All credit about Natalie goes to him. Okay, all Natalie haters will like this chapter. Oh, and it's a long chapter.

Chapter 1:

Sora walked alongside Kairi as the walked away from the fading High School. Each clad in their school uniforms, the two matched all of the others in the crowd of people. Sora turned his head to Kairi and said to her, "Okay, I'm really sorry. I can't walk with you today."

Kairi ran her finger through her hair, questioning, "Why not, Sora?"

He smiled and put a hand on her shoulder. "I promised Riku I would meet him at the shore today. We are going to be doing some studying."

Kairi pouted, but then she laughed, "Oh, I get it. I bet you'll be doing more then-"

"That's not true! All of that Yaoi Namine is drawing is going to your head" Sora fumed. Kairi giggled in a cute way. "You know I was just kidding!" Sora hugged her and ran toward the shoreline, waving back to her as she grew smaller the more he ran.

He could see Riku waiting for him, already deep in his studies. Sora smiled. Ever since they left the World that Never Was, Sora found that Riku was trying his very best to be ahead of all the people.

Maybe he wants to prove that darkness does not make him evil, or stupid. Sora broke off from a run into a steady walk. After a few paces, he tripped. Letting a yell escape his throat, he fell flat on his face into the sand.

This time, Riku looked up from his book. He smiled at Sora, calling, "Hey, Sora! Clumsy as ever! Come on over, we have studying to do!"

"You know, you are such a nerd!" Sora laughed at Riku, who smiled and said in a fake anger tone, "Don't make me come over there."

Sora laughed, "Oh no! Kairi's Yaoi is coming true!" Riku lost his cheeriness and stated, "Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of impaling you with the powers of darkness combined in my Keyblade."

"Oh". Sora laughed, and then he looked where he dropped his books. They were actually a good few feet behind him, so he ran up the sands to retreve them. On his way back, he tripped again. This time, Riku didn't notice. Bringing himself up into a sitting position, Sora spat sand out of his mouth and looked behind him.

He had tripped over an unfamilear notebook. In writing barely legible, it read, "Death Note." Sora tilted his head, and reached for the book. He opened it to the middle, and was disapointed to find it blank. Then he turned to the front page.

It looks like instructions on how to use this book. Before reading, Sora looked up at Riku. He wasn't sure if he wanted his friend watching. He slowly read the first page to himself.

"The writer must write the name of the person he wants to kill inside of this book, while picturing his face. In 40 seconds, the person whose name was written will die of a heart attack. If you want to write how they will die, you must write in six minutes and fourty seconds after writing the name."

Sora smirked. He knew that this book was some kind of prank. Still, something fluttered inside of him. He dearly wanted to find out if it really worked. Looking back at Riku, he realized that he should keep it a secret. He tucked it inside of his backpack and rushed over to a waiting Riku.

"That took forever." He met Sora's eyes with a questioning expression. Sora started to sweat. He couldn't tell Riku what he found, even if it was just a prank. "I think I injured my foot when I fell," Sora lied.

Riku waved his hand in the air with a forwarding motion. "Forget it, I'm brushing it off. Speaking of brushing off, get that sand off of you and let's look at this math."

"Gah! Algebra! It's killing....me.... Can't...GO ON!" Sora faked a death while Riku cracked up beside him. It had been a long time since he had actually laughed. Then, a whisper in Sora's ear said, "Hahahaha....you won't be the only one dying soon."

Sora leaped to his feet and whirled around. Riku summoned Way to the Dawn and got up, looking around. Sora didn't see anyone, but he knew someone had said something.

The next day in school, Sora was very quiet. He couldn't remember the last time he had been this mellow. He was still thinking about that voice. Who was it?

During the test in Math Class, Sora found himself completing the problems with ease. It had really been a help studying with Riku, but there was that feeling that he was being watched that had made studying very nervous.

After the test, Sora left for home. It was the end of a long day, and he just wanted to go home. Kairi started to run after him, but Sora walked to fast. Only a few moments later, Sora heard a scream come from behind him. It was Kairi! Natalie, the bully at schoool, was kicking Kairi repeaditatly and ripping at her wiht her nails. "Why you little! Take that for stealing my boyfriend! Sora blushed on the inside, realizing they were fighting about him. He couldn't just watch Kairi get hurt, though.

Sora turned around and pushed Natalie aside. She didn't even falter, and instead of continuing to attack Kairi she grabbed Sora and pressed her lips against his. Sora was confused as Kairi came and shouted, "Stop it Natalie. You are such a jerk!" Sora pushed natalie away and growled, "Get off me, you jerk."

Natalie smiled wickedly. She said, "Perfect! Not only did I get to kiss you, but now I have blackmailing weapons! She took her friend's phone and waved it in Sora's face. Confusion turned to anger as he saw a picture of them kissing. Sora shouted, "Hey!"

"I'm going to send this to every single phone if you don't go out with me, after I digitally edit myself into Riku in this picture. People will think you dumped Kairi for Riku." She blinked, her eyelashes disgustingly brushing her eyes. Sora grabbed Kairi's arm and said, "Come on, Kairi."

Sora started to slow down, and he came to a halt. "What was that all about?" Kairi looked up, and then she pressed her lips against his. Sora felt a calmess rush up through him, and was disapointed when Kairi pulled away. "We were fighting about you. She said some really nasty things, and she then wanted to scare me into dumping you."

Sora blushed. "Dump you? We aren't even going out." Kairi looked offended, but Sora realized she was kidding. "No, she thinks we are going out. I'm sorry about that."

Sora nodded. He walked Kairi home and then turned to the ocean. He broke into the fastest run he had ever accomplished. He jumped over the tree that barely touched the ground, and sat down. He took out the Death Note, and opened it up.

Do I really want to try this? If I write the name, and it actually works, then will I become a murderer? A voice broke his silence. This time, he actually recognized it. It was Roxas. He stated, "Aren't you technically a murderer? You killed all of the Organization except for Zexion. Lexeaus, myself and Axel."

"You have a point." Sora opened the notebook. It probably wouldn't work, anyway. He wrote down Natalie's name and pictured her face in his head. Then, he closed the book and started the trek back home.

I just wanted to add some romance there. Lol. New chapter probably tomorrow, Sunday, or both! This story was fun to write, lol.

Lol, thanks guys. Yeah, I started watching it a few days ago. I thought it would go well with Sora. Who knew Sora would actually kill someone? Besides all of the Orgys....except the ones listed in the story.

I can't update the story today because I am going to my friend's house. Actually, I might be able to. I definatly can tomorrow, though. So, okay.

Okay, it turns out that I can write my chapter today. I still might be able to tomorrow.

Chapter 2:

Sora woke up before his alarm went off. He had dreamed of something very strange...something about him being killed. Someone wrote down his name in some kind of book, and he then had a heartattack. When he died, he was in neither heaven nor hell. It was a very strange and cold place. What was even stranger was that no one was around.

Then Sora remembered his Death Note. That must have been what the mysterious darkness wrote down. Sora could not remember seeing an actual person. All he knew was that he saw an figure kill him with his book. The alarm went off and broke his train of thought, and he jumped out of bed and went to his bathroom.

Sora stripped himself of his clothes and walked into the shower. He made sure the Death Note was well hidden in the pile of clothing on the floor before he he turned the knob and let the warm water hit his body. He sighed in relief as the ache from his muscles died away.

Speaking of dying, I wonder if the Death Note even worked. Sora smiled, amazed with himself that he actually tried the Death Note on someone. It was painfully obvious that it wouldn't work. He took the bottle of shampoo and added it to his naturally spikey hair.

After Sora got out of the shower, he went downstairs to eat breakfast. He was just putting on his tie when he sat down at the table and said good morning to his mother. She smiled and put down a plate of golden waffles in front of him.

Sora managed a weak smile and put his fork into one of the waffles. Through a mouthful of food, he spoke, "Thanks, Mom." She nodded and said, "Well, someone has to feed you" Sora laughed and took another bite of his breakfast. His mind drifted away to the Death Note again. It's as if he had become obssessed with it.

He left his house, tucking the strange notebook along with his other books from school into his small, green backpack. He hurried along the sands to Kairi's house, which is where Riku, Kairi and Sora met to walk to school together every morning.

When he finally reached Kairi's house, Riku said in an annoyed tone, "We're going to be late! What took you so long?" Sora shrugged and sad, "Well, if you stop to tell me these things, then we will be even longer."

Kairi pointed out, "He has a good point there. Let's hurry up!" The trio ran across the sands until they reached Destiny High. They each said their seperate goodbyes as they ran off to their classes. Sora hurried to room 176, which was his Science class. NAtalie was in his class, and he almost was excited to see if she was here today.

When he walked into class, the teacher wasn't there and everyone was whispering. Natalie's friend could be overheard saying, "Natalie's mom said that Natalie died of a heartattack! I wonder if it was true!"

Sora's heart fell. He had killed Natalie! As much as he hated her, he felt horrible. He was a murderer!
Sorry it's so short, my dad is yelling at me to go to bed.

 

Well... I think normally, the people would start to wonder whether he REALLY had killed the person with a pencil, not immediately think that he killed someone...

 

How ironic I'm watching death note right now...

 

Wow. I hope Sora doesn't go bat**** insane like Light. Good work!

 

Lol, yeah he won't. Next chapter will be coming later today.

Oh, and also....

I really wasn't going to make him find out right away. I had to get to the point of the chapter, though, because I had to go to bed. Maybe in the next chapter I'll make Sora have his doubts if it really works and he'll try it out one more time.

Okay I can't update today and tomorrow is a very small possibility. Sorry!

 

Here's the latest chapter! I hope it makes up for the really short one last time.

Chapter 3:

Sora sat in class, biting his pencil. He could not believe he had actually killed someone. He still had some doubts about the book, but didn't this prove that the Death Note was no prank. Sora then heard his name, and he looked up.

"Yes Mr. Lore," Sora asked. The class snickered around him, and the strict teacher scowled. He bent down so he was face-to face with Sora. The Keyblade Master blinked as Mr. Lore began to talk.

He growled, "Sora, this is it! I am sick of you day dreaming in class. Why is it always you? Do you think you can just because you are the Keyblade Master?" Sora felt his face grow hot. He shook his head, murmuring, "No, sir."

The teacher straightened up and turned around. He filled out a yellow pass and told Sora to go down to the Dean. The Dean! I've never been to the Dean! Great, I bet today is going to be the best day ever.

Sora walked through the hallways to the office of the Dean, looking at the turqoise mosiac tiles that made the design of an ocean on the wall. He wished he could be swimming with Riku and Kairi now. If only it was summer vacation. A voice in his head, instantly recognizable as Roxas' voice, stated, "At least summer vacation is going to be soon."

Sora nodded, stopping in front of the office. He reached out his hand, curling it into a fist, and knocked lightly on the door. A shadow could be seen on the other side, and it moved toward the door and opened it wide.

The Dean was a short and stocky man with gleaming hair not unlike an obsidian stone. He smiled and invited Sora in with a king gesture. Sora took a seat opposite of the Dean, who cleared his throat and introduced himself.

"I am Mr. Ienzo, and I am pleased to meet you, Sora. You have been so good this year, seeing you are first coming down in late May." He had a very kind note in his voice; nothing like what the other teens said at Destiny High.

He continued, "I am sure you have heard a lot about me. I am going to venture and say that most of it is not true. I am a very kind and reasonable man, and most kids never see the bad side of me." He laughed, "Yes, and that side isn't that bad either."

Sora felt a little better. The smile still lingered on the face of the Dean as he said, "Everyone day dreams, Sora. I am also sure that you, of everyone, would day dream the most. Why? You have been on at least two adventures by now, have seen so many worlds not known to this one. Who wouldn't day dream about that?"

Sora said, "You have a point, Mr. Ienzo." The Dean said to him kindly, "This isn't the first time Mr. Lore has sent someone to the Dean about small things such as this. Well, I have a message for him: He needs to lighten up. I know he had a bad past, his family being killed by Heartless and all, but I believe he should see it that they would want him to be happy."

Sora breathed in slightly at hearing this. He never knew that Mr. Lore had such a terrible past! Next time, Sora reminded himself, I'll have to be a bit nicer to him. I'll let him know I care.

As the bell rang in Math Class, Sora was te first one out of the chair and to the door. He wanted to go see Natalie's mother and ask how the girl was doing. Then Sora pointed out sourly to himself that she might not be alive. You could never trust the friends of that gossiping girl.

Sora explained to Kairi that he was going to see Natalie. Kairi nodded, understanding why Sora should be concerned. She knew that even though Natalie was one of Kairi's greatest enemies, Sora would want to make sure that she is safe. Kairi laughed to herself, admiring Sora's true Keyblade Master self.

Sora reached the residence of Natalie and knocked on the door. The mother answered the door, eyes red with tears. Oh no.

Sora introduced himself as one of Natalie's friends and said, "I wanted o know if she is okay after the heartattack." The mother's eyes grew wide, and then she laughed. "No, dearie, she is just in the hospital. She choked on some of her food at dinner when she was talking, and her respitory track is a little off. I'm sorry that I look like a mess; I'm just so worried."

Sora nodded, and stated, "I understand. I hope she comes back soon." He walked off and heard the door close behind him. He started to walk across the wooden boardwalk, his stomach fluttering with mixed feelings. He was relieved that she was still alive, but then he was angry that the book didn't work. He could change the world with that book. He knew that something good could come out of a thing so horrible.

When Sora got to his house, he put down his pack and went into his room. He sat on the edge of the bed and took out the notebook without even turning the lights on. He ran a finger down the spine of the small, black book, marveling at how sturdy it was for such a beat-up object.

All of a sudden, the sun was blocked outside. A billowing wind moaned outside, and Sora ran to close the window. He slammed it shut, still tense from the sudden storm. How had it come so quickly?

Then, a rasping voice called from the corner, "It was just a coincidence that the girl you tried to kill choked yesterday. You mispelled her name in that book."

Sora yelled out and spun around to come face-to-face with a large, winged creature. It's eyes were yellow with red pupils, standing out on it's brown, dragon-like face. It had the wings of a falcon, and it had the bottom of a horse with claws for hooves. Sora thought it looked a lot like a griffon, but he was too terrified to marvel at that.

"What are you??" The cry came out of Sora's lips as he saw the demon smile. It looked a lot like the shadow in his dream!

"I am a Shinigami, and that notebook right there is my Death Note." He extended a long claw out toward the book. Sora scrambled back, and forgetting he was sitting on his bed, he fell to the ground. The door opened to his room, and he looked up to see his mother in the doorway. She said, Is everything alright?"

The Shinigami laughed. "She cannot see me. To her, only you are in the room. Only those who have touched my Death Note can see me." Sora turned his head back to his mom and stated as calmly as he could, "No, I was just reading when I turned and fell off the bed."

She smiled, unaware of the God of Death standing in plain sight. She closed the door, and then Sora turned around back to the Shinigami. "What is your name," he managed to whisper.

"I am Eris, and you are Sora. That notebook is now yours. I must follow you until I can regain that book of yours again. Any questions?" Sora was taken aback by the casual tone of Eris. Sora searced his mind for Roxas, but it seemed that Roxas was being blocked from his thoughts.

"No." Sora looked up at the gleaming eyes of the God of Death towering over him. The Shinigami let out a polite cough and then continued, "Well then! I am neither your foe nor friend, and when the user of a Death Note dies they can neither go to heaven or hell."

Sora nodded, remembering the last note from the dream. He wanted to go to heaven or hell, but it was too late for that. Eris questioned, "What are you going to use this book for?" Sora looked at the Death Note and pondered. He then looked up and flashed hs his eyes, which were red instead of their normal color.

"I am going to create a new world. One that everyone will desire. Anyone who commits a crime or gets in my way...I will kill them. Then, we can live peacefully."

The Shinigami laughed. "That sure does sound familear. I heard one human say that before. Maybe someday you two will meet...if you are that lucky!" The cackle grew louder as Eris laughed. What did he mean? The feeling of power left Sora as he looked down at his Death Note. He reached into a basket on his desk and took an apple.

Sora would have to plan his next move. Who would he kill? The Heartless? Sora took a bite of the apple and pondered. He put the Death Note aside and went downstairs for dinner, Eris right behind him.

Sorry it's another short chapter, but I am too lazy to right anymore. I'll try to update it as soon as possible!

Okay, I'll make him eat a potato chip. Seems that quite a few people want that. Well, two. Whatever.

 

Well, I am really liking this so far but I don't think they would announce Natalie's death like that. I think it would make more sense if Sora overheard one of Natalie's friends grieving and etc.

Oh, and you should totally make Riku a detective.

 

Yeah, it was a little sudden. I had to finish my chapter though because I had to go to bed. Oh, and I was thinking about Riku being a detective. Sora is different then Light, though: he doesn't go insane with killing people. Actually, he doesn't go insane. Period. Ah well.

 

Please do the potato chip thing! PLEASE! I'll be your slave if you do!
