Summary of what this thread is about:

Ever since Truth released his program for extracting and re inserting vital game files for Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep many users have been working hard at making the game more fun and entertaining. This has been done through simple character swaps to full game hacks. The potential this game has for hacking far surpasses any Kingdom Hearts game out there simply because of this tool. In this thread we will talk about Truth's program, any new modifications you have done to your game, any ideas for new hacks and so on.​

Rules for this thread:

All of the rules for KH-Vids and the code vault apply here. The only reason we are re stating this is because of the nature of rom hacking. Yes people we are modifying an iso, big deal. The issue here is people wanting to share links to illegal files. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for breaking rules involving illegal files. It is plain and simple people, just don't share or upload anything illegal. If you do we will delete your post and you will get a verbal punishment. If you continue to break these rules more serious actions will follow. So just don't do it.​

With that in mind we know that this is more laid back than other sections of the code vault. That is fine but do not spam. I will check the thread every day that I am online. Keep your posts to six or more words. Replying with "Thanks!!111" or "That is gay" will get your post deleted. Don't take all of these things to heart though. We can still have fun and get a lot of work done in this section.​

Requirements and tools:

You will need a hacked psp with custom firmware or a Homebrew Enabler with an ISO loader. Sharing links to these things will be deleted simply because most sites can lead to ISO links or other illegal files.​

You will also need truth's program which can be found HERE. He updates this every so often so check whenever you can. He works hard on this so shoot him a vm or something and thank him.​

Patches:

Many users will post some images or videos showing off their work. Some of these users also provide links to patches which are files that change your ISO so you can have their hacks/mods. I can not stress this enough. Sharing links to your work will 99% of the time mean that someone will steal it and claim it as theirs. So upload at your own risk. If I get a lot of PM's about people's work being taken I will close this thread and re open it when things get settled down. If this continues I will remove all links to patches and other game files.​

Rom hacking has a tendency to be more viral than regular codes. Which is good in this case.

Truth's work has been nothing but amazing. I am so glad to see someone around here with talent like that.

 

Hey, would anyone care to help out with something? I'm currently working on a texture mod for Armored Ven, but insertion program isn't working properly. Would anyone care to try reinserting it yourself and then giving me a ppf patch for the proper BBS file so I can test it? Here's the link to the texture since I have a feeling I shouldn't upload the whole model.

The PMO that it needs to go in is (14)p11ex00.pmo and BBSx.DAT file it needs to be inserted into is BBS1.DAT. I'd appreciate it if someone could do this for me.

 

When do you need it done?
I am not at my personal computer but I can do it later if you want.

Completely sorry about that one. I will have it reinserted by tonight. Yesterday I was very busy and once I got spare time I needed to just relax.

It's okay, I figured it out. Turns out you have to extract the file to which you're inserting the new files. Can't believe I overlooked that. Anyway, thanks for the intent to help.

I wonder if someone is able to import a model of KH2 sora into bbs and give him ven's animations so you can play as KH2 sora with the kingdom key.

 

I remember seeing a few months ago a texture pack for Ven that recolored him so he looked like KH2 Sora. He also had the inverse Kingdom Key.

I never liked those texture patches and other stuff like that. A lot of it is a bunch of ripped (no pun intended) off stuff that other people did.
