Community Kingdom Hearts 10th Anniversary: Cover Contest

Hey!

On our second day of our Anniversary announcements we have a Cover contest!

What’s this?
This is an artistic competition (you don’t have to be arty you just have to want to enter!) where you can redesign any of the current Kingdom Hearts game covers. Do it however you wish just be as creative as possible!
Once you have finished them then post them in this thread or send them to me if you don’t want others to see it.

Just post it along with:
Which game the cover is for
Any thoughts behind it that you’d like to share (optional)

DEADLINE IS THE 1ST NOVEMBER

Once we’ve finished then the entries shall be judged by the staff and a winner shall be picked.

Rules (don’t worry, there aren’t many) :
-Make sure it’s appropriate for the site
-You CAN do one for a final mix/remade game if you want it to be specific to that version
-You CAN take a picture of your picture if need be but if you do then make sure it’s as clear as possible.
-Have fun!

If you are having problems uploading your picture then you can send me the picture at k.sgk.ienzo@gmail.com and I will upload it for you and give you the link so you can post your artwork.

If you have any queries or concerns then feel free to post them here or PM them to me and I will answer them as soon as I can :)

This might be a stupid question, and i feel as though it is, but are we able to use programs liike photoshop to simply alter a current cover, or must it be completely remade?

It has to be completely remade but that doesn't mean you can't use the renders and change the background. You can't just take a cover and re-edit it like putting on gradient maps etc.

Good question though, it never occurred to me.

Of course, it would be lovely to see a new design for a game that's only been announced.

 

Question : Are there any specific dimensions that we have to keep in mind while making the cover? I'm almost sure the answer is no, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Also : Do we have to include any other logos ( PS3, PS2, etc ) ?

 

No you don't have to have any specific dimensions, sorry I forgot to mention that xD (you're right, doesn't hurt to ask)

You don't have to include the ps3 logos but if you want to make it look like a more authentic cover then do add them. However, if you can, then do get the game logo onto your piece (like the KINGDOM HEARTS II sort of thing).
