Do you think it's true that kids/teenagers are more aware of things than adults are?

Do they know the real deal or are they just so obsessed with cutting everything on the line? Explain.

Well I a believer of the older you are brings more wisdom simple because they have had the time and chances to explore and research the world. But really it depends on what kids are more aware of. It varies each generation, for us it's technology, it's in out education now, though our grandparents may have the wisdom, most have no idea how to use a computer. But that is a different matter.

As for get older you find more reason to complain, it happens, you become more aware, and make things seem worst then they are, like MSN and forums, and the Media is to do with this, with many many ways to find out what is happening in the world, it gives us more reasons to worry. And more adults tend to watch the news and keep up to date with current affairs then kids/teenagers. So I believe adults are more aware.

Also teenagers are naive, I have to admit we are, at points in our lives with alot going on in many ways we become a bit self-centred and just think it will never happen to me, and even though we are aware we just chose to ignore it.

I think you have a point in what you say but not all teens are the same. I admit that the older people have wisdom but sometimes because of their experiences they think that they know everything and thei're not open to new ideas. On the other hand teens have the ability to understand some thinks that adults can't. Besides when teen you still haven't a certain and complete character and it's easier to make a difference. But as you said this doesn't happen and i believe that's because we live in a world thet continuously changes so it's difficult for a teen/kid to keep up with things and espesially when haven't form character.

well....it depends. some things adults know more about (like having kids and paying bills). but teens and kids know more about modern things cuz adults have a hard time keeping up with the times

No NO No...kids know everything. when you are a kid and you want something the parent has to ask you. if the parents want something we know what it is...sex...ya see we(teenagers) are smarter

Wow what logic. Kids don't know everything. We may think we do, but really we don't. Who do we learn stuff from, Adults. Who tends to keep up to date with current affairs most, Adults. Yes kids know more about current fashions and stuff like that, but that is only a very small thing and doesn't really make you totally aware of things.

Actually, I think that Adults are more aware of things than kids are. One reason is because adults watch the news more than kids. Plus, adults are more older and wiser, and have seen more of the world than us kids have. But kids do their part too, like we volunteer for many things, and are up-to-date on most of the hitech stuff than the majority of adults cuz we were raised in the "information generation" and stuff. But adults are still more up-to-date on what's going on in the world.

i dont think there is a right answer to your question because it really all depends on the individual. for me, whatever your age may be im going to judge your level of awareness by your level of awareness. age can be a factors sometimes: adults can lose sight of things and get caught up in the demands of modern society; adults can grow to learn to be critical thinkers; children can be raised to be pretty ignorant; or children can rely on their natural insiticts and unbiased nature to be truly aware of the world.

i just dont think that age is a very important factor in deciding this. i think it all lies with the individual.

EDIT: after reading the rest of the posts i have this to add: i think you guys have to think about being aware in a different sense. there are many types and levels of awareness, not just being aware of current events and all. some children really do have this natural sixth sense that gives them an internal awareness that some adults dont have.

Kids/Teenagers lose to adults, honestly. I don't have to even give my reasons besides asking the simple question of : "who runs nations?" kids? or Adults? Adults. And while I might become annoyed at the idea, I do recognize that adults are much smarter and mature than I am, which is why they win.
