Hey everyone, Xaldin here with a new weekly thing going on, known as "Music Raid" what is Music Raid? Well, Music Raid is when we at KHV re-create 5 tracks from different games sometimes Square-Enix related, other times not. Today we're starting off simple with our first collection which is known as "Creation".

The music in these tracks are 100% real instruments, there may sometimes be one or two synths, but everything else you hear in these tracks are 100% real. This album includes the following tracks.

    (PS2) Final Fantasy X - Seymour's Theme
    (PS2) Final Fantasy X2 - Eternal
    (N64) Super Mario 64 - Credits
(NGC) Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Credit
(GB) Kirby Dream Land 2 - Dark Castle.

If you're computer does not have a zipping program we recommend going to www.rarlab.com, the reason why we chose .zip is because most computers come with their own zipping program.

Since it's a .zip file, do I need something like WinRar?

Erm, very nice and all, but how are they "100% real instruments"? I create, compose and arrange music all the time, and these just aren't "real instruments" unless you purely mean a few samples, which can't be counted.

If you like, I could probably do some each week myself, although I'm generally pretty busy, so I could probably do one. I prefer re-arrangements rather than exactly as the original though.

I personally like Eternity the best, as it's piano is simply beautiful.

A song like that can be used for the Main screen for the mugen game.

Ok, what I mean by real instruments is well, the program Eastwest, is what I use. And what they do is, they rented out an entire concert hall (They kept the name of it a secret probably to prevent others from using it) and live record every single note, and style of that instrument. They've even made it possible for you to make a choir sing words (Symphonic Choir, you can youtube that one). I would partially call it a sample but not really either, program, but they're definitely not synths considering everything they did. The program costs $400 and just the choir it self is 32 gigs, let alone the symphonic orchestra which is around 128gb I believe. As for your offer, that'd be great. I don't always arrange music, I create originals as well. Though I arrange music most of the time instead of re-arranging them is because I personally dislike tampering a structure of a song the artist created.

The samples are from sampled instruments, but it's misleading to say 100% real instruments. I guess you didn't say performed live xD. But these are sampled music, a lot of game music is "sampled" as well, though with more synthy tracks as well, but the actual "instruments" are also sampled "real" instruments....

what these are are just arrangements with sampled instruments. and they sound good! (but the strings still sound a little fake, they are missing the natural off pitchiness)

Ah I see - I use Garritan Personal Orchestra which is about the same price although only 21GB unless you add more plugins. Currently their audition website is having a few problems, but it's here anyway: http://www.garritan.com/audition/

I also compose my own, and everyone always says it sounds like game music - You'll probably hear Kingdom Hearts influences, but here's an example of a 1 min Piano Exercise I had to do anyway:
