Starting from Christmas, we are going to be trialing a 'no password' system for a month. This means a few things:

As usual, discourse is welcomed here, in Voxli, or over MSN, but not in the main forum.

Considering this pretty much started because of trolls and bringing bullshit into the forum itself. How about we don't do either of those? I may sound like a hypocrite here but it causes way to much trouble. This is meant for fun, not fun at others' expense.

This is a good idea though, P. We should all be mature enough to follow this.

 

I really like the idea, because we can bring more members to come in and talk to us. As much as I love everyone who comes in, especially Luxord, I'd love to see some new faces.
And even so, they could just trial it, and not have to become a member of the Voxli group to have to get in, and so on.
Even if there are trolls, there's always the "Let's go to my room!" so there's an admin. It's not a big deal. But if it does become out of hand, we could just switch it back.

The key difference that I'm banking on is that unlike before, where any admin action was reliant on me, it is now in the hands of multiple people, so we should have a functional admin most of the time.

I'm also hoping that most of the persistent trolls are gone.

It's just a trial to see whether this works out. Even if it doesn't, we don't -lose- anything. So long as drama doesn't get posted in the forum, the worst that will happen is that some people will be called a few names, or get a brief look at some goatse.

Oh, and if anyone wants to put a link to the main chat somewhere in their signature, that'd be fantastic.

Trolls need to grow the fuck up. Joking around with people in a playful manner is fine. Otherwise its just total BS.
