What was the cause of death? What are the persons injuries?

It has to be a meathod of killing them that anyone could of done and isn't specific to any of us, eg. If they were killed by an arrow - I'd be in the spotlight as I do archery. No, I'd suggest something more general.

Blut force trauma to the head? Shot wound? Poison?

Also they could have other injuries, not nesserily done by the murderer. Do they have injuries that show signs of a struggle? A day old bruise from a earlier fight? Somebody's skin cells under their finger nails? You get the idea.

    Gunshot + blood infection.

Meaning that the bullet did superficial damage allowing some sort of debris to enter into the blood stream. Also called Septicemia. Granted the symptoms are noticeable but the person might simply think they have the flu or some other mundane illness.

Drowning, strangulation? That's always a good idea.

Since guns are expensive, and also seem like a cheap cop-out way of having a murder to me, I vote we go with one of Makaze's suggestions. Or some kind of asphyxiation anyway.

Drowning, definitely. It simply works with a big mansion, find him dead in the pool.

But it takes strength to drown unless there's a trick where anyone can do it. Also....it's just....such a....struggling death....

He was smacked over the head with some sort of blunt object, rendering him unconcious, and was then dumped in the pool. He drowned while unconcious.
This way there's no gruesome struggling, and we still get the drowning in the pool. Everybody's happy. Except Makaze. Because he's dead.

So blunt force trauma then drowned, nice. Are we haing injuries to show sign of a struggle or did the killer come from behind/ Makaze didn't expect it?

No signs of a struggle would indicate that it was somebody that Makaze trusted, or at least didn't expect it from, casting the suspicion on all of us instantly, and would be an easy way to start us off.

Okay so he was found lying face down in the pool. Cause of death: Drowning after blunt force trauma. No injuries to suggest a struggle. Does he have any previous injuries that may or may not be connected, eg. day old bruise?

Come to think of it, it also leaves the murder weapon. Blunt force trauma could be done with a lot of objects but it may leave some blood on it.

Perhaps GS and Makaze could have had a confrontation the day before, resulting in GS punching him, meaning he'd have at least one bruise from that. It wouldn't have to be obvious straight away that GS was responsible, and even if GS isn't the murderer, it would be a good Red Herring.

That sounds good or it could even possibly be you. I wanted you to have a blazing row with him a few days before he's murdered, where he might say something about changing his will at the end, maybe that came to blows?

I'd be fine with that. Maybe both could have happened, but only one came to blows, meaning that it'd have to be figured out which person struck Makaze.
