    Mobile KHV?

I know many people may disagree with me by just looking at the title, but this is something I have thought about for a while and am not too sure if something like this will work or not, but I will push on to ask.

Is there a possibility to make a mobile friendly version of the KHV site? (which is smaller and can adapt easily to mobile/cell phones)

Why would people disargee? Plus it sounds like it'd be pretty hard. Since Admins would have to fiddle around with craploads of stuff.

I would say yes, but I don't really care about mobile anyway.

Have you tried using the FunKy 2.0 skin on your phone instead?

This current skin consists of more scripts and flash (the nav bar) which might not run on a phone or psp.

As for making it smaller... well there's not much I can really do. I know some phones have an option to make websites "fit to screen" which will make the site smaller.

There may be some settings on your mobile device that you can alter to make everything work better. I know for a fact the iPod Touch has them.

    Point if Inquiry, KH-V.

Why do you not have an app for this?

Truthfully, an iPod/iPad application can be hectic and a pain to design, not to mention write a code for, but it could be somewhat easier for those of us who use our Smart Phones to get online and check posts. Or, for those who don't have access to a computer at there respective times.

Nonetheless, I am bringing up the point: What if KH-Vids.net had it's own forum application for Smart Phones?

Not only is creating an app hard, it's also costly. I'm going on about apple, mainly, since they require you pay them for having the app in their store. And if I recall, the payment is not a one time affair.

There's a mobile version of vBulletin in the works, so once we update, you can look forward to it. It's apparently supposed to make it easier to navigate.

Ah, I see, I see. I didn't know that there was a price to have the app in the store, though it makes sense. Well, nonetheless. I was just wondering.

Basically what Chev said. If we could I'd obviously love to do it, but... yeah. We're kind of limited in terms of skill & money here.
    Nice suggestion, though.

    Closing this then.

I am sure a lot of the traffic here is using an iPad or iPod or a smart phone to visit the site, but since there is no application like that yet, you can use google with this link to view any site in a mobile device:

Ah okay, I suppose we now have an alternative solution o:. Thanks Kubo. But yeah, unfortunately an iPod/iPad/iPhone app is currently beyond our abilities.

Uhh I guess I'll just re-close this then?

What are the chances of us ever seeing a mobile version of the site?

    I think it's a great idea.

An app was requested before, but it's too costly.
You can use this link on your phone, though to get a 'lite' version of the site

A mobile version would be epic. I'm all for it! Though if it does cost alot..maybe some alternate way would have to be discovered.

First there was Facebook, then Myspace, now Keychainchat.

I don't think a mobile version is needed. I can browse the site fine as is on my phone.
As mentioned by Bueno, this has been raised before and is known to be a costly app.
It might be nice for some people, but I don't think it's really needed.

If only i knew how to create apps. since you need to format them so it would work on Apple, android and window phones.
I've been thinking about this too.
