KHV in Final Fantasy: A Not So Short Story by Shadow (Part VI)

Well, I spent almost all my 'ICTX11' class time writing these stories, and guess what, I have 36% in the class. The good thing is the semester is almost over, so I dont have to worry about trying to pass, because it is inevitable that I will fail. Oh well I guess.

We left off again right after Vivi and Rosey officialy got together. The party just got kicked out of the Elfheim inn.

RvR: Okay you two, dont let your relationship interfere with our quests here.
Vivi & Rosey: We wont.
SJ: So where to?
RvR: How about that castle, lets see whats up.
CtR: Lets go then.

The party travels to Elfheim castle, and goes into a room where a young boy is in bed and a nurse is taking care of him. The entire time, Rosey and Vivi are holding hands.

RvR: What's going on here?
Nurse: This is the prince of Elfheim, he is under Astos curse.
CtR: Is there anything we can do?
Nurse: There is a cave to the south, and Astos hid the Prince's crown and Matoya's crystal eye there.
SJ: Who's Matoya?
Nurse: A blind witch that could possibly provide a herb to heal the Prince.
RvR: So if we get the Prince's crown, and Matoya's crystal eye, we could cure the prince?
Nurse: Yes.
SJ: What would we get in return?
Nurse: I dont know, but the Prince would be very grateful, and would give you something worthwhile.
CtR: Lets do it!
RvR: Okay.
Rosey: As long as I can be with Vivi.
SJ: Yeah, yeah, lets go find this cave.
Nurse: Its called the Marsh cave, be careful.
RvR: Dont worry, we're professionals.

The party stops by the inn for a quick heal, but Rosey and Vivi decide they dont need it, so they stay up while the rest of the party has a quick nap.

CtR wakes up before the rest of the party and sees Rosey and Vivi making out, but she pretends not to be awake, just so they could have their time together.

By the time the rest of the party has woken up, Rosey and Vivi have stopped.

As always, the party gets forcefully kicked out of the inn.

RvR: Okay guys, lets head to the cave.
SJ: Yeah, no time like now.

The party leaves Elfheim.

Rosey: Hey...guys...

Rosey looks around 360 degrees.

Rosey: Where's Vivi.

A tear appears in Rosey's eye.

RvR: I think we should go back, we need to find Vivi.
SJ: Yeah, he wouldn't want to miss the fight.
Rosey: Where's my Vivi?

As the party traces their steps back to Elfheim, Rosey is frantic and she is turning a very pale white.

CtR: Rosey, are you okay?
Rosey: No, I..I dont know whats wrong with me, but I feel like I'm going to pass out.
CtR: Just come over here and sit down.

CtR and Rosey sit on a town bench.

CtR: Whats wrong, Rosey?
Rosey: Just the thought of Vivi missing makes me feel horrible.
CtR: Dont worry, Vivi is fine. Just relax.
Rosey: Okay, okay, I'll be fine now.

Meanwhile...

RvR: Vivi! Vivi? Where are you?
SJ: I'll check the inn.
RvR: Okay, me and Darkandroid will check the dark magic shop.

At the inn.

SJ: Hey, have you seen a guy wearing a yellow hat and blue robes?
Innkeeper: Yeah, he just left.
SJ: Did he say where he was going?
Innkeeper: No.
SJ: Oh great, better go tell the others.

Over at the dark magic shop.

RvR: Hey shopkeep, have you seen a guy wearing a yellow hat and blue robes?
Shopkeeper: Yes, he's in the back room, but you might not want to go in there, he's in a meeting.
RvR: Oh, really. With who?
Shopkeeper: I dont know.
RvR: Hmm. I think we need to go in there.
Shopkeeper: I'm sorry, he has the key and I cant unlock it from this side, you'll have to wait until they come out.

The door to the back room opens, and a character walks out, wearing a hooded black robe.

RvR: Who are you?

The person disappears in a cloud of black smoke.

RvR: Oh great...now can I go into the back?
Shopkeeper: Sure.

RvR steps into the back room, and runs out screaming.

DA: Was it something I said?

Back with Rosey, CtR, SJ and newly arriving RvR and DA

Rosey: Well? Anyhing?
RvR: You...you dont want to know, its so, so bad. Ah...
Rosey: WHAT? What happened to my Vivi??
RvR: I..I'm sorry Rosey, but you have to come with me.

The party goes to the dark magic shop.

Rosey: Whats going on here?
RvR: In the back room, he's there.
Rosey: Let me go in alone.
CtR: No, let me come with you.
Rosey: Okay, okay.
RvR: I'm sorry Rosey...

Rosey and CtR walk into the room, and Rosey looks down to see Vivi, on the floor, in a pool of blood, eyes rolled back into his head. He isnt breathing.

Rosey: VIVI! No...

Rosey quickly goes to Vivi's side.

Rosey: What happened, who did this, I'll kill them...

CtR joins Rosey at her side.

CtR: Rosey, I dont know what to say, I'm sorry.
Rosey: Vivi's dead, I..I...I cant...I dont know.
CtR: Sorry, Rosey, there's nothing any of us could do.
Rosey: But, what happened.

Rosey is now crying full on.

CtR: The only person who might know is Roxasvsriku.

RvR walks in.

RvR: What about me?
Rosey: What happened to Vivi?
RvR: The shopkeeper said he was in a meeting someone, and he couldn't get in, so when the door opened, a person emerged and disappeared, then I went in and saw Vivi.

Rosey is hyperventilating.

CtR: Rosey, calm down, please.
Rosey: I..I cant...I need to find...this person...I have to kill him...
RvR: He just disappeared, I couldnt do anything...
Rosey: I will find him, I will have revenge..

Epilogue - 5 years after Vivi's death the Phoenix Down was invented, to the joy of risky adventurers.

Thats not what I meant.

And, nobody said you were dead, so you never know what could happen.

Oh yeah, Phoenix Down does exist, but it only raises a character if they lose their HP, not if they are killed outside of battle, so it's ruled out here.

 

Cause so many people get back up from being stabbed and lying in a pool of their own blood for a while.

 

Who said you were stabbed, who said it was your blood?

 

Cause I'm the sort of guy who takes naps in random blood pools .
