Kingdom Hearts II KHII: weird problem with items...

So I'm trying to get throug The Hades Paradox Cup (I managed to get level 48). But the problem is, my items always run out, I mean, they sould be plenty of ethers left on my stock, and I always make sure that I have "AT" at the items, so I should be able to use those items as longs as they are on the stock, but they seems to stuck at 6 ethers and then it wont let me use them anymore, even I have like 50 them on my stock...
I hope I was clear enough so you get what my problem is. The hades paradox cup is really hard.

 

The restock applies when you are out of battle so you are left with what you can hold for boss battles or tournaments (normal battles too but that is almost never an issue).

If you don't already know, you can bypass every ten rounds once you complete that set once. Ao you could start at 41 since you've gotten to 48 already. Won't get you the journal score but it helps a lot for getting the trophy.

And you might want to use something other than ethers, I personally always used megalixirs. And seeing as how you appearently use magic a lot I would get my hands on Ultima Weapon if you haven't yet.

Outside of that I think you're okay. If you can come this far then you can win it. Match 49 is hard but you should be able to do it if you don't rush.

 

I have ultima weapon. I saw a video on youtube, someone had synthed "power boots" to raise strenght up to 120, l have somewhere around 60 and that seemed like a good trick, but it seems like i don't have the guard recipe, even I have the defence boost in my synth list...

EDIT: I was being stupid. If you've been making Power Boosts then you've found the guard recipe. You just gave it to the moogle is all.

 

I think I need to check it again soon. I don't have the power boost listed in synths, but there are many items that only apper in "????" and in grey. I have the recipe for power boost and all the items (at least what google says I need for power boost) but I'm still not able to synth it.

 

If you haven't yet, make a defense boost from the recipe list. I would use a bright crystal there if you're moogle isn't level nine yet. The faster you get to level nine the easier power boost farming will be. Once you reach level three and have defense boost in the creations list go to make a defense boost but use a serenity on it. This will result in you're first power boost. All of them are made the same way but now you can just select it from the list and it will attach the serenity crystal on its own.
