Kingdom Hearts II KHII FM Jafar Help

I'm level 1, playing in Critical Mode. This fight takes place with Sora alone without allies, so my options are extremely limited.

The beginning of the battle is easy for me. I hit him in the stomach to knock him out, then go for the head, repeat.

All is fine until I get him to about one bar of HP left. He uses an incredible move! He transports me and himself to another dimension and starts flinging buildings toward Sora. But that isn't the problem, when we are transported back, Sora starts off far away from Jafar and Jafar continuously uses his fireball and thunder shock attacks. I can dodge them, but I can't get close to him. If I start attacking him, I get killed.

I really need a strategy on how to dodge Jafar's fireballs while still being able to hit him, because one or two fireballs is the end for me.

Tips on controlling Carpet will be appreciated too.

 

try using Blizard element magic. It has the longest range. For deflecting the firballs the obvious choice is reflect(ra). Stun him as much as you can, hit him with the key blade, lather rinse repeat. also, stock up on Potions and ethers, Elixers if you have them and cura will be your best friend.

 

Thanks! I just beat him now. Blizzard didn't work cause you would have to stand still to use magic. But I used Reflect standing right next to his stomach, it deflected and dealt damage, worked just like I wanted.

And I found out for myself that holding R2 makes you go faster. xD
