Hey, guys! Got another update for you, and it's a cool one at that!

For a while now, KHV member Xeeynamo, has been working on a patch that will change ALL text (like in cutscenes) in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix + to the English language! Remember, the cutscenes in all Final Mix games are voiced in English, so now with the patch, it's like Square Enix released the game in North America. Pretty cool, right? Also, if you want to see what the patch looks like, here:

Well, that's all I have for you for today. Thanks for reading~

Oh, and thanks to super moderator Chevalier for the heads up.

Just a note. The patch is not 100% complete. However it is stable and all necessary pieces are translated. If you have played KH2 in English already then you should have absolutely no issues with playing it.

I wonder when it will be "like Square Enix released the game in Europe and Australia". There's always a delay in the EU/AU versions right?

Needless to say the patch is awesome, I haven't tried it yet but I have heard a lot of good stuff about it.

Also, gratz on your second news post Ty.

Wow, this is awesome news! I can't wait to try it out. Quick question, is it more stable than the last release (where you get an item, then open the menu, then it insta-freezes?)? Cuz the last release was VERY unstable, and I sure hope this solves that :D Thanks for letting us know Ty.

Yes it's far more stable, no more freezes (check his blog for more information).

I'm excited for this! And really want it!
      My problem is...

I just dunno where the hell and how I can get the game... :/

Alrighty, I just tested out the patch, and it works!!! Plus, I can get an item and access the menu. The only problem is that some things are in Italian, and most of the things that are in English aren't in proper English :P But it's cool, and I'm glad it's out.

Yeah the guy is Italian and there are a few stuff in Italian.
But any suggestions/updates to the patch are acceptable by him, so we could do something as a community.

I'm definitely going to try and help! I have also found that the game goes slower when emulated than the original.... and also there are some new graphical glithces.

i've tried it and it is GREAT!!! i realize it's not finished yet but this work in progress is very well done! i haven't stumbled into any Japanese text whatsoever, and even the NPC and old cutscenes are translated as well. like chessplayerjames pointed out, i did notice a few graphical glitches as well, but i can ignore them because they really are minor. i noticed some words that aren't capitalized that should be such as "Two become one" should be "Two Become One but just a minor thing. i recommend everyone to use this patch!

I never properly considered getting this game since the Japanese text would confuse me and I wouldn't know what to do, but with this patch it sounds great! I might actually play it.

      As would I.
If I could figure out how to get a copy of the game and apply the patch... TT^TT lol

      buy the game from either

      www.amazon.com
      or
      www.play-asia.com

you will also need some way to play import games, i recommend Swap Magic though they are hard to find nowadays. they are currently being sold on Amazon, and if you really wanted to buy it, do it quickly because Swap Magic goes fast on Amazon and they don't come back up for months. also, in order to apply the patch you need a DVD burner (you can't apply a patch to an original game disc).

      hope that helps.

Sounds great. I have always wanted a reason to play the final mixes. Now the reason is staring me in the face. =]

I found this helpful, and very simple! It Works! The only problem ive encountered is the Italian Text on the Theater screen! Its still awesome!

Might just be me but I found Larxene AS to be unplayable but other than that bugs have been minor thus far

Unfortunately, I have run across some Japanese text and a code/string that was some weird number. However, since I already know how to play the game (except for the crown stickers, that is where the instructions are just a number), I don't need to read/understand the Japanese characters. This is by FAR the best English patch for the game, as it doesn't crash, and it's 90%+ in English. Also, for some reason some of the cutscenes have no voices. I have noticed that ALL of the cutscenes that had Japanese voices have been removed (the voices have), and it's been done on a couple of extra cutscenes as well. No biggy though, because I've watched them all.
