Kingdom Hearts II KH3 - Sora powerdown

How do you think that Sora will lose his power and abilities in KH3 when/if it comes out?

KH -> CoM = Entering Castle Oblivion made him forget everything.
CoM -> KH2 = Sleeping in the pod while Namine was fixing his memories.

Could it be the days/weeks/months that they were "relaxing" at Destiny Islands, before receiving the Kings letter. Or will it be something unthinkable....

 

Maybe he loses the abilities when he changes his uniform again. And you play as Kairi in the prologue. :huh:

 

Maybe some strange plot twist will make that happen...

 

Maybe it'll be like the Megaman Battle Network game and it'll be unexplained as to why Sora is weaker.

 

They might make it a bit more realistic with the difficulty (like KH1) and perhaps add in an element of avoiding attacks and then countering. that would be kinda cool to implement.

 

What I think is that he would probably forget abouthis abilities and would,somehow,get weaker.

Maybe Donald accidentally does something to Sora when they meet through his magic.

 

or maybe Merlin or maybe the battle with Xemnas tiered him so much that it'll take a while for him to fully recover.

 

I thought sora wasn't going to be in kh3, isn't it just Terra?

 

Not only fighting Xemnas, but maybe stepping through the DTL made him sterile (in casting magic, not anything else).

 

My predictions are its going to be unexplained, like the Megaman and the Metroid series. Or, the worlds returning to normal for so long stripped him of his powers.

Or maybe the Keyblade (the sorce of his supernatural power) goes dormant, from not being needed, so Sora has to relearn how to use it. Yeah, thats probably what it is.

Your thinking of Birth by Sleep. Its a common misconception that this is Kingdom Hearts 3. Right now, we dont even know if there is ever going to be a Kingdom Hearts 3. The letter Sora recieves at the end might just be a intro into Coded.

 

Maybe he'll be able to use his spells, but instead of 3 levels there'll be more.

 

Probably not... they could always just say, "Oh, you havent been using magic for a while, and forgot all your spells."

Like they did in KH2.

 

Yeah, but in KH2 Sora's "nap" erased his magic abilities. That, or when he got his magic clothes.

It was supposed to be his nap...

But it doesnt make sense, considering magic is learned, and Sora's memories were arranged exactly as they were before he entered Castle Oblivion. Meaning, he got his knowledge of magic back.

So the only reasonable excuse they have is Merlin's theory, "You havent been using magic, so you forgot your spells."

 

Well the only thing I can think of at the moment is Sora might loose strength due to a lack of fighting experience on Destiny Island.

Other than that, perhaps something will occur in the beginning of this supposed kh3 that will lead to Sora's decrease of strength.

But of course, no power down at all might be nice...

 

I dont think it would be fun.

Half of what makes an RPG game fun is gaining experience and abilities and then using them later on in the game.

It would be lame to start off all Final Form status with all magic and abilities in KH2.

 

Maybe he won't even be the main character. Games that get this popular have been known to pull something stupid like that.
