No Thanks Kh-Vids on a Android app ?

Hello Guys,I dint know where to put this but....


Has anyone thought of a Mobile App for Kh-vids cause im mostly on my phone than my laptop and I always come on this website everyday.I have Trouble sometimes with Zooming in and sending and replying time

I've been thinking the same thing, actually, but it'd take a lot of work, and it may not be worth it.

If someone wants to make it then yeah, I want that.

But since that takes a lot of work I wouldn't expect anyone would want to make it, and I wouldn't request it either. I don't have a problem with using the browser on my phone.

I'm going to move this to the Feedback & Assistance section (where all site suggestions should go, just so you know).

To give an official answer, we do currently have the mobile theme, yes. You can reach it by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the "KH-Vids 7.0" link. A pop-up box will appear, and from there you can select KH-Vids Mobile. The link that Space Gandalf posted does work, but it's a lot easier to just do it this way.

However, that mobile style is old and not really updated, nor will we be releasing any kind of official KH-Vids app--simply because that's outside of the skill level (and budget!) of our staff. I have looked into tapatalk integration but ruled it for this reason:

Xenforo (the software we use to run our forums) 1.2 will have built in responsive styling. What does responsive mean exactly? Basically, the forum's style will change depending on the size of the browser window--so if you're on a device like a computer, the site will be shown with all the bits & bobs, whereas mobile devices will have a modified view, to compensate for the smaller screen. If you want to see it in action you can browse the Xenforo forums, or you can check out their post featuring the design, which includes screenshots.

Xenforo 1.2 is in beta right now (though they just put out their first release candidate). I expect it to fully release by the end of the month (but don't quote me on that, just conjecture). We likely won't update right away, as many of our add-ons will have to be updated by their developers for compatibility, but when we do the site will be very mobile friendly. ;)
