KH-Vids Movie Night #3 - Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

Hey everyone! Apologies for the short notice, the lack of a poll to actually select the movie, and of course the lack of Mr. Ploo-Hems hosting, but the staff was going to watch a movie tonight and decided, why not invite you all?

The movie we will be watching is Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, one of my all-time favorites.

The movie's audio is in French and will be shown with English subtitles.

I must make a small warning, however: Amélie is rated R! If you are underage, please get your parent's permission before joining in tonight! The movie isn't that bad, aside from a few very brief scenes, but I would rather not hear from angry parents, nor get you guys in trouble. <3 If your parents are curious they are free to contact me (I've seen the film twice), or look at IMDB's Parent's Guide for the film.

Oh this movie, I'm always up in the air about it, some days I consider a good movie, others I find it boring, if you can find my favourite french men to watch it aswell maybe i'll tag along.

Damnit, this is the one where there's like a scene with a ripped up picture underneath a photobooth right? Trying to make sure this is the same movie as the one i'm thinking of.

 

I haven't seen this movie in a while, but watching Amélie with KHV sounds charming. I'll be there for as much as I can.

I would normally say yes but because this is technically a copyrighted movie, I don't really want to have a recording of it floating around on our Livestream. Sorry!

I may tune in for just a little while, see if I'll like it or not. I just finished watching Pride & Prejudice not too long ago, so my standards are pretty high at this time.​
