Chain of Memories Kh: CoM Manga is way different...

The Com Manga is way different to the game, I only just read it and yea...

- Insted of a big ball, they watch sora through screens
- They have A LOUNGE!! (On which, Axel is almost always sitting on)
- Marluxia and Larxene have chicken and XIII squash (Its true! I rofl'd when i saw that)
- Namine looks younger... -_-;
- EVERYWHERE MARUXIA GOES THE PETALS FOLLOW HIM!!
- One time Larxene mutters to herself when Marly comes 'those petals really get annoying!'

 

Well duh... that's what makes me love the manga so much. Have you read the second one yet? Oh wait, you did since you mentioned the chicken and squash. Have you seen the vending machine? XD

EXACTLY. lol XD There's also the thing with the funny faces (or those not intended to be funny). And now, a quote from my friend IRL when I let her read it. =D

The CoM Manga to me was much worse than the KH one. The Nobodies were made to really look quite stupid to match how much dumber they made Sora. Some things were cute like the list of duties, but the pickle obsession, the Riku Replica ending, and Marluxia was more annoying than CoM ..as if I thought that possible. I did like some of the manga but most just seemed too stupid for me to get into. I know a lot of friends that thought it was great though, even if it was a lot different from the game. I guess with all these side additions though, I can't really consider it canon and guess I'm just too picky.

 

I found there to be TO much humor.

 

They were trying to add humor to make up for the lack of action, is why. The mangas always tended to avoid action scenes whenever possible. Although I will admit a few of the jokes they cracked made me laugh XD.

 

Yeah, the manga isn't that great. Some parts are just friggin' stupid, even though there were some parts that made me laugh. I also dislike how every enemy seems to die in one hit.

 

They're different because...one is a video game and the other is a manga perhaps? :)

Haha, no but seriously I love the mangas. They add facets to the characters that you don't get through the game...And Marluxia is just so much more beast on paper :)
I love them. Plus they're just so cute. And really, it's good that it's not exactly the same, cuz that'd be pointless + booring.
Although I do agree, the fights could've maybe been expanded? IDK, the Marluxia one was quite nice so, maybe just the others.

 

I sure hope the manga's different. It would be too boring to see the same thing over and over...

 

since im in Australia we didn't get the re-chain of memories so all i have to go on is the game boy advanced version so i didnt really notice all of the differences that much

 

The manga has more humor than the game, if it wouldn't have it probably wouldn't sell.
It also has many details, like the electronics had mark NOMURA on them : )

 

They put differences like that on purpose so people will buy the manga, to see if there's something the reader missed in the games. They did that a lot in the KH1 manga, too.

 

I love the manga. I laughed so hard when I first saw the vending machine's qout but then I thought it was kind of stupid....until I read the qoute again!

 

that manga is different, Shiro amano add a lots of humor on it, all of kh manga is make me LOL! :D

I agree that some parts of it kind of stupid, like Marluxia kidnapped Namine and tied her with the petals and vine. I don't like that Sora, Namine and Kairi look too young in the manga.
However, it's enjoyable to me. The writer tried to add the humor on it.
XIII squash really cracked me up

 

I personally find nothing wrong with the manga. The amount of humor is refreshing from the game plus any stupidity makes it similar to how cracked the fandom can be.

Yes it's different from the game but it does still follow the story line which is all it needed to do.

 

I only bought the manga because I didn't have enough time to show my siblings all of the KH cutscenes. The manga is pretty much a super-condensed summary of the entire storyline for those who don't want to spend hours trying to play and finish the game.
