KH 3d

Ok so I am a big fan of the kh series (like everyone else here). And ive been wondering this for awile now. And that is if I should pick the game up KH 3D. Or if thes story is actually relevant to the series at all. Meaning like kh coded... or kh 358/2 days. Those are important games but you don't need to play those games in order to play the next title. I know 3D takes place right after kh2 but is their anything major to the story? I don't exactly have a ds either. and I don't really want to buy a 3ds xl and the game. that's like over $250. I will eventully buy a 3ds because their are some interesting titles in the future that I really want.
I feel that kh bbs is a major part of the overall series and must be play with kh 1 and kh2 and I guess also kh re COM. Which is what im playing right now. I just found my ps2 and I bought the game. I know im very late....
Anyways I want to hear you thoughts. Please try not to spoil much.

 

KH3D is vital to the story

It's very vital. I can't even stress how much you need it.

 

Without any spoilers, KH3D is definitely a major part in the story. =)
There are points in 3D that you should most certainly see before the final battle.
I highly recommend playing it.

Yes, youtube is good, thats how I learned what happens in 3D

 

cant get the full KH experience from youtube, if you have the ability i recommend playing it :)

 

sure you can, just grab a ps2 controller and mash the x button while you watch, it`s pretty much the same

 

lol. that will only work for a few. Sadly it wont for me. My older cousin did that when we played kh we were young.(well I was I was 10 at the time and he was 12). and he gave me an unconnected ps2 controller and told me to play...

and I don't like youtube for games. As someone already stated you don't get the full experience.

 

Let's just say that if you get three without playing 3D then you will be confused.

Really this title is vital to the story. I am sure if you don't play this or at least watch it online, you'd be lost in KH III

 

I am going to say all of them are vital to the overall plot execpt coded which was dlightly pointless in my opinon bit still vital. I stronhly suggest you get every game you can get your hands on. Not only will you understand everything better buy yits also for the exerience which is one of the greatest things about the KH series

 

Not exactly, since it just fills the gap between KH I and KH II. Though there are a few things that it will explain.

 

I think you meant CoM is to KHII as 3D is to KHIII.

But yeah, there are quite a few important revelations in 3D, and it kinda ties all the dangling plot threads up in a neat little bow in preparation for KHIII. I'd say you'll be slightly more lost going into III without 3D under your belt than if you played II without playing CoM. That, and it neatly summarizes the rest of the series thus far, in case you missed anything else like Coded, 358/2 Days, or Birth by Sleep.

Of course, if you're short on cash, you could just watch these videos, but you're still missing out on the fights. Especially the endgame fights. Them's some good fights.

meh, i disagree slightly. i mean yea there would be a few things that would be confusing, but you just read Jiminys journal and everything would b worked out. i beat KH2 before i beat CoM & i was fine throughout the storyline. But then again i guess reading Jiminys journal is vital to the story as a whole IMO.
