it's not a good theory but you know on KHII fm+ when Terra said " It isn't you that I have chosen" and in this new game they said there was a scene with Terra looking at two kids playing on the beach?.....Was that when he chose the keyblade bearer?

thats not a bad theory. but i dont think that terra is the person u fight in fm. they call the engimatic soldier the lingering spirit. so maybe hes terras nobody. maybe not. but what i think is that hes not terra but a different form of terra. but i dont really know if thats when he chooses the next wielder. but sora wasnt suppose to be the keyblade wielder, so i think that the es was mad that riku was not the one he met up with in sunset horrizen cause riku was the one he chose to wield the keyblade.

 

You know it is possible that its his nobody with the name Lingering Spirit. After all, Xemnas starts out the game calling himself "All that's left" But somehow, I don't think it is. I think its either Terra, or some form of Terra's spirit that stayed behind after he died to try to take down whatever remains of Master Xehanort.

And as for the chosen part, I have my own theory about that. You know how Terra picked up the Kingdom Key in Sunset Horizons/The Gathering? Well, Riku was the original master of the Kingdom Key, but when he accepted the darkness on Destiny Islands instead of fighting, it chose Sora, instead. Well, what if Terra actually wanted it to be Riku when he passed on the keyblade, hence his surprise when he saw Sora with it, since Sora was "not the one [he] chose"

And he was waiting to fight Sora there because he was looking for the spirit of the most recent Xehanort (mistaking him for Master Xehanort) who had resided in the one he chose for the Kingdom Key.

 

I think that Terra, or, the spirt of Terra chose the weilder of the key blade when there were a bunch heartless around Destiny Islands, but... Then again, the heartless mite have only came once they sensed the key blade. I dunno.
