358/2 Days Just voicing my mind here with an odd suggestion that is bound to be shot down

Now I am usually against any theory involving Riku's heartless/Nobody, but would it be possible that Xion is Riku's Nobody? The scans Daxma posted show Xion and Riku holding a Kingdom Key. Perhaps This shows something. (Xion could be holding it because of it being Roxas' but Riku never met Roxas other than that one time.)

If it is only that gender barrier, so? Why can't Riku have a female nobody? Perhaps he had some sort of relationship with Aqua like Sora had with Ven. (Their nobodies look exactly like them)

As for when Riku became a heartless. Xehanort possessed his body, and at the time, Xehanort was a heartless, thus heartless took his body. This could be seen as his body submitting to the darkness.
He goes to Kingdom hearts, when he reforms while his body is away, much like Sora and Kairi do. (Blame KH's light or something.)

Anyway, his body was either discarded or still used by Xehnanort when he did that strange turn around and transform from Riku to Xehanort thing on the beach. Whatever happened, it went to darkness, meaning a nobody could be made.

A heartless is not needed for a nobody. Only a body and a spirit. Riku supplied these.

 

The problem with that is you need to lose your heart to have a nobody, and Riku never lost his heart, he just gave into the darkness and let himself be controlled by Xehanort's heartless. Plus, I don't really think Nomura would give Riku a female nobody. That would just be too weird. Then there's the whole anagram of your name + X thing the organization members have going on, meaning her somebody name would be something like Oni or Nio or even Ion. I'm sorry, but none of it really makes sense to me.

 

And there is your mistake.

You do not need to loose your heart for a heartless to appear. You only need to loose your body. A heart to make a heartless, a body to make a nobody. A soul to make an Unbirth. You do not need to loose a heart to loose your body. Riku's heart got expelled from his body, and restored at KH for some weird reason.

Tell the whole name thing to Namine. Besides, it is possible that the letters ION are a name Riku's nobody took before joining.

Although the female bit is weird. My main point is that Riku can have a nobody, it is not that hard to explain.

 

But Riku's heart never left his body. His body was just possessed by Xehanorts heartless. And you do need to lose your heart to become a nobody because they don't have hearts.

 

Okay, Riku's body got possessed at Hollow Bastion. At that point, the two were co-existing in the body. Sora kicks Riku's enigmatic emo ass and Riku burst out from his body and held back the heartless. Then it gets confusing. I believe at this point, Riku went to Kingdom Hearts as an untainted heart, while his body remained with Xehanort.

Xehanort went to The End of the World and Sora confronted him. He was in Riku's guise, but shrugged off the image of Riku as he turned around. I believe he either sent Riku's body away to darkness, or just changed its appearance. Anyway, he fights Sora and looses. Riku appears in Kingdom hearts and helps close the door. When he appeared in Kingdom hearts, he got a new body. (Like Sora and Kairi did.) While his old one lay around in darkness becoming a nobody.

Well when Riku appeared in the golden form, I assume he went free, as Xehanort did not have to struggle for controll any more.

He left his body without becoming a heartless, yet his body was consumed by darkness.

 

Very interesting theory to be sure. I agree there could be a nobody of Riku, but doubt that it's Xion. It would be sweet if some cool guy in KH3 or other KH game turns out to be his nobody, everyone else is in on the fun, why not him? :)

 

Riku never had a Nobody because he never lost his Heart. His heart and soul, his whole spirit, was sent to Darkness but it never gave in to it. Also, he had a line to his body because he was connected with Xehanort's Heartless. When Xehanort's Heartless was defeated and tried to claim Kingdom Hearts, it failed and went back to Riku, so his body was returned with his whole spirit. Due to the fact Riku had his whole spirit in tact, it would be impossible for him to make a Nobody as a Nobody requires a soul and separation of the Heart.

Also, a true Nobody of someone would be the same gender as the person it was formed from. They all resemble their former selves so it makes no sense that Riku would have a female Nobody who doesn't look at all like him.

As for where Xion may come from, I'd theorize if it's not from somewhere else, it might be that she came from within Kairi's Heart and when Sora used the Dark Keyblade, he had inadvertently created Namine and Roxas, but also perhaps Xion who was within Kairi's heart. This is speculation of course, but if you think about it, it may be possible. It's either that or perhaps Xion was released when Kairi lost her body in the Secret Cave.

The reason this may be probable is because Sora, already having his body, using the Dark Keyblade to 'open hearts' did so on himself, which released Roxas. Roxas may be what remains of Ven's spirit and Kairi would heal Sora after to make him whole again. Now, Kairi had been through much of KH without her Heart but when it was released from Sora back to her body, Namine was also created. Now if Kairi's Heart had held Aqua's remaining spirit within her, it might be probable to say Sora unlocked that too, thus freeing her as he did with Roxas. So when Kairi's heart returned to her, it would be without 'Xion'. Of course if Xion is not connected to Aqua, that shoots this theory in the toilet, but I still am leaning towards that it is most likely.

There's nothing yet saying that Riku ended up with anything of a spirit within him that wasn't his own, other than when he takes in Xehanort's Heartless. Even if it is so though, since Riku never 'lost' his Heart or Soul, and his body was linked to him, he was probably not likely to release anything. Maybe though since Xion wouldn't be 'his own' spirit, it could be possible that something happened, but it just doesn't add up with how Nobodies are created and how they'd turn out.

 

....yeah, this will be shot down alot by people who don't want to hear things out, or do hear things out and provide obvious reasons that your wrong, but a goood idea, since Riku fought against the darkness alot of times.

 

I don't really see any undeniable proof that Riku didn't loose his heart.

In fact theres probebly more proof that he did. When Xehanort says 'Your voice can no longer reach him where he is, his heart belongs again to darkness.'
Sure it could just mean that his heart belongs to Xehanort and that he just blocks his heart out of connection with soras.
But I always went by the believe even BEFORE KH2 that Rikus heart by that point had gone to 'Kingdom hearts' Theres also the sentance after. "All hearts begin in darkness. And all so end." He is describing kingdom hearts. So I think its save to assume there is a possibility.
There is nothing saying he can't.

Also I belive theres a cutscene in Final Mix that supports this. I cant remember why I just remember it did.

As for Riku being Xion? No way. A female nobody? Lets just give the fangirls another reason to write yaoi fanfiction with sora.
