And now I remember why I liked them so much. And I also remember why I liked the third one the best. Genie is such a great character.
"Do not attempt to move, or we'll be shooting ourselves."
    I love that scene

    I love the Aladdin movies.

I find it sad that the last two (Return of Jafar and King of Thieves) were never restored or touched up before their DVD releases. I didn't enjoy Return of Jafar as much because, in my opinion, Jafar was just lacking as a villain. He seemed less like the grand antagonist he was in the original.

no kidding. Not too mention, overpowered. I mean, sure he's a genie, but he nearly broke that little rule of no killing.
But I'd have to say I liked the third the best, just because I loved the jokes the most. And there were so many movie references in it, like Steam Boat Willy. Although, I wonder who made a better villain: Jafar or Si'luk.

Original Aladdin > King of Thieves > Return of Jafar.

Like Catastrophe said, Jafar was really lacking in the movie. Plus a lot of things were lacking altogether. The animation was bad, the songs weren't memorable, the dialogue was cheesy >_>
And we didn't have Robin Williams voicing Genie lol.

King of Thieves, I liked a lot more than RoJ, but it was still lacking a few things. At least we got Robin Williams back though.
But Jafar is definitely the better villain for a lot of reasons >_> He was insane, clever, smart, a sorcerer, had great lines, and actually kept succeeding with his plans.

I've only ever seen the original, but that clip there leads me to believe that the quality of animation is... not up to Disney standards. That honestly looks like something off the TV show.

BUT LOL I'M JUST AN OCD ANIMATION STUDENT IGNORE MEEEEEE~

yeah, that's not the quality on the movie. I think the quality got put down with that video, because what I watched had better quality

"Al! Your back! And your front! You're both here!"

...Wow I JUST GOT THAT. As in I just heard it properly, goddamn he's fast

Also I love how during the code red shenanigans Aladdin's just like "Oh god here we go"

She's not talking about the video quality. She's talking about the animation. Yes that is the quality of the movie and there's nothing wrong with it :I

no kidding. I wonder if genie can read the future. Because he always brings things in from our time and then some, and no one questions what it is

No, I believe you're right. I summaries that the sequel movies of Disney in alot of cases were not animated by the team from the original film. I think the team usually moved on to the next new film series Disney would have in the works. It's the case for a lot of sequels in general that were never properly planned as a sequel.

Which is sad because not all the sequels get such terrible treatment.
Like, I love the animation on Peter Pan 2 and Little Mermaid 2. The movies themselves may not be the greatest, but the animation is great.

yeah, I agree with that. But I don't care for the animation. I just want a good movie. I mean, yeah, having good animation is nice, but having a good movie altogether is better.

AS AN ANIMATION STUDENT and an artist in general, I just. Cannot. Watch a movie with terrible animation.
    I just.
    Bluh.

But what do you consider as terrible animation? Are you talking like low budgest movies? Or something else

He more fluid an animation is the more clean and appealing the film is. For example, jumping from closed mouth to open mouth is a cheaper method for talking when animating, whilst higher budgets usually mean a clear move from the formation of closed mouth to open mouth, if you get what I mean. It depends not only on budget, but dedication of crew.

    It's annoying if done improperly.

EVERY KIND. I like traditional 2d the best though c:

But no, not necessarily low budget. I've seen good low budget movies before.
More like... the animators didn't care. The animation is shoddy, and they treat it as a job, not a work of art.
    Idk it's hard to explain.

    THIS.

so would you consider the animation in Kingdom Hearts good or bad? Or what about something like Final Fantasy or Rogue Galaxy?

Never heard of Rouge Galaxy, so I dunno.
As for FF and KH, it's always GLORIOUS when it comes out and then gets weaker and weaker as time goes on. It's one of the drawbacks of 3d animation.
Overall, though, yes, it's pretty quality animation.
    Especially FF13Versus. *drools*

YOU GOTTA OPEN YO MIND, GIRLFRAN.

Otherwise how will you ever enjoy Kemono Zume

or other cult classics no one's ever heard of

Besides that's no excuse I'm a writing student and I enjoy things with bad writing openly and often
