I've got into some songs from Joe Satriani lately, and I think it got me addicted! My favourite songs are The Mystical Potatoe Head Groove Thing, I Believe, Surfing with the Alien and Love Thing. Now I wondered how many fellow KH-Vids members also listened to the Joe-man :cheers:
He's a great guitarist and i really respect his work. The Whole Surfing with The alien album was great.
Just about the understatement of the century here. Yeah, Satch is a guitar legend for good reason. All of his work is great, especially his albums Surfing with the Alien and Is There Love in Space?, plus his work with Chickenfoot.
I've not only listened to him, I've seen him LIVE. Last may He was AWESOME!!! Favorites are Surfing with the Alien and Asik Veysel (or however you spell it).
I know I'm reputed as being a massive Tom Morello fan, but Joey Satz is, by far, my most favorite guitarist of all time. His guitar playing is a thing of pure skill, and every track he plays is just filled to the rim with style. His music is flawlessly composed and his creativity knows no bounds. I feel like giving up the guitar every day because I know I'll never be that good, yet I pick it up again every time because i want to be that good. The one and only true rock God to ever grace the Earth. Everyone else can just sit on it.
oh yeah satch i love this guy he`s so tallentet and wrote many of my favorite "love" songs like Always with me always with you, Flying in a Blue Dream but also harder songs like Satch Boogie, Surfing with the Alien, The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, One Robots Dream...... And there`s something that I think is more fantastic, he was the guitar teacher of another Guitar God: Steve Vai. Those two guys are amazing. There`s one song from Vai when he play it live is realy incredible because he use an trippleneck-guitar: I Know You`re Here. But Satch is a number for himself.
