japanese PS2 memory cards

eh, i had no idea where to post this so it's going here.

im about to buy a japanese ps2. do they require thier own memory cards or can i use the one's we've got here?

 

Well I import games from the US and japan, and on my european PS2 I can save files using my memory card on these japaese games, so I think it doesn't matter. Your memory card should work.

Actually, it's not very simple at all.
A regular un modified(flip top lid, modchipped ect.) ps2 can't play japanese games.....
I would think that you would need to buy a jap mem card as well, but since DA knows.... guess not.

 

wait, do u need a Japanese cheating device to cheat for Japanese games?
