It's finally happened!

My boyfriend finally proposed to me. He asked me on June 4, 2012. The day right after A-Kon!! (Which was extremely fun and exciting).

After 2 years, he finally decided to pop out the question so now we are engaged and he makes me feel like I'm the happiest girl in the universe.

 

Well damn, congrats!

Just out of curiosity, how old are the both of you?

I feel your sense of time is skewed.

 

Wow. KHV is getting old. Pretty soon, Mike will have his first paid voice acting gig, Wolfie will be making Fayt move to America to marry her, and Misty will still be 12. It truly brings a tear to my eye.

I'm not going to lie; that seems a little young for marriage. But I'm still happy for both of you. Have a fantastic life together.

 

Well, the whole time we've known each other, we never had a fight. We always talked things through. We've changed each others' lives and it just feels great to have someone to come home to, them waiting to ask how your day was or how was work. Or someone to comfort when I'm not feeling well (once a month).

I feel like he completes my life. That whatever is missing in my personality, he has it. I was broken when we met and he guided me through the steps to get where I am now. He didn't take the steps for me but he held my hand when I got lost.

And we're not getting married right away. The earliest will be next year in October but that's not even in stone yet. We're still debating on the year.

 

Enjoy your first marriage. May you have many more to come.

 

So, move in together? lol No need to get married so young. Usually, this is the reason most marriages fail: because the couple gets ahead of themselves at too young of an age. Your priorities might change once you get older, and you're still young. You got your whole life ahead of you.

But, enough of my preaching. Just make sure you two are on the same level with certain issues (How do you feel about each other's parents, who's gonna work and who's gonna take care of the kid(s), financial affairs, dealing with each other's friends etc.).

 

We've actually did move in together. And we love each others' family. We both work and we're saving up for future purchases. We're not having kids for a long time! And we get along with each others' friends too.

 

Well, just make sure to wear a condom.

I'd just like to point out that just those two won't be enough. You should also learn your cycle like your next eight years of sleep depend on it. Those three things together will 100% effective in preventing the STD known as pregnancy.


And here's another piece of advice that my parents gave me: If you don't have a big argument over something stupid (e.g. which side of the couch the remote should be on) at least once a year, you're doing it wrong. The only exception is the first year when you're in the honeymoon phase.

 

I know my cycle. We already discussed not doing any activity to week before or the week of of my cycle.

 

Ah, good. And again, don't forget about the other thing.
