I'm personally a little glad he left. Itagaki was a bit of a prick to other developing teams, like the guys who did Tekken, calling DOA "superior" or whatever. Still, I love the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series, so as long as they continue, I'm fine with his leave.
Exactly. And I cant wait to see what happens now. This could end up being quite an epic move of he does infact start his own studio, which he probably will.
He stands his ground and isn't afraid to bash other games, but beyond that he is a total prick. Fair enough you are going to be proud of the game you made. But when you take credit even though he was only 1 of many. Bash other devs..fair enough, be a prick to your own devs just doesn't make a good guy. Kind of makes me laugh that he bashed DMC4, but yet NG2 got somewhat similar scores and similar complaints like for instance it brings nothing new to the series and doesn't change past mistakes etc etc.
I just got NG2 today, and believe it or not has much right to bash DMC4. The gameplay for NG2 has been VERY revamped even from sigma, yet DMC is pretty much the same, so I agree with him.
