It is incredibly hard...

... to not make the critique of your parents stupid habits without sounding like a smart ass.

Me: Uhh, Grandma, I don't mean to nitpick, but why do you not put the trash in the trashcan when your done cooking.
Grandma: *stares me down*
Me: *walks off* (in my mind: What did I do?)

There's an invisibly fine line between helpful advice and sounding mouthy.

But to answer your question... never correct a person whos older than you... they hate that... even when thier wrong... thier right...

 

I once told my Dad off about eating food at the computer, mostly because he'd leaves crumbs and wrappers and cups and **** all over the place. Not smart...=/

 

I correct my parents (my Dad mainly) on every little fault :3

 

That happens to me alot.... every time i tell my dad something that actually has a point he's always saying "Don't get smart with me!" but in my head i'm like: 'But i thought you wanted me to get smarter... that's why you send me to school...'
