Kingdom Hearts II It definitely is gonna be KH3

Well, no way it's not kh3. I just saw the secret ending (too late no) in youtube and you know what? I found that there's no way it's no kh. It has mickey, Roxas (the guy that froze) only that i could see no one from the triad. Anyways, it is gonna be a kh since it also says kingdom hearts in the end, and also we can see that from iside the clouds comes a heart, no? So why would it not be a kh? Maybe we all misunderstood Nomura's words. Yeah, i bet that's what we did. Discuss upon this matter and tomorrow i will see ur answers cuz i'm really curious about this thing...

Umm. No. It is not going to be called KH3.

Just becuase it has Kingdom Hearts in it doesn't mean that it is going to be called Kingdom Hearts 3. Nomura clearly stated that it was NOT going to be called KH3.

I beleive his words were something along the lines of "The new game in the series will not be called Kingdom Hearts 3."

How could we misunderstand that?

Nomura has already stated that it's a new series/new line that won't be called Kingdom Hearts 3.

It says "KINGDOM HEARTS" at the end yes, but nowhere did you see an indication of a '3' or a "III" somewhere. At least in Deep Dive we had the hint with them stopping the countdown at "II".

There isn't much to be 'misunderstood' when Nomura has stated the fact that it won't be called Kingdom Hearts 3 in *several* interviews. He's continually emphasized that.

 

OMG and all you guys i have heard of the news but still what if he is trying to confuse us? And why would there be a heart coming out of the clouds? We all know that only Kingdom Hearts is in that shape and that big as that heart. And why would there be king mickey and why would all three from the normal ending be looking at the letter from the king like this? I dunno, maybe you guys are right but something smells funny here and i would like to know what...

 

The next game will not be called Kingdom Hearts 3, Nomura stated it, but it will be part of the series and will take place in the same universe. Think of it more like a spinoff rather than a sequel, since it will probably not feature Sora as a main character, and the game will not follow his adventures.

 

I think we'd all like to know, but I'm pretty sure he isn't trying to trick us. He may tell us information that is incomplete (i/e: we have to figure it out for ourselves) but he wouldn't tell something that wasn't true.

And yes, it probably does have something to do with Kingdom Hearts being recreated, even though Sora isn't going to be a main character. We know, as Kanji said, that it's in the same universe...and that's why Mickey is there.

 

Well i guess you're right. Anyways, why not Sora? What has he done to him to hate him sooooo much?
I will be sad if i don't get to play with him... And i hope that even after this new game, there will be another kh...:( :( :( :( :(

 

Nomura *loves* Sora. He claims that Sora is one of his most favourite creations, ever. I wouldn't worry about Nomura 'hating' any character he makes. As for why the spin-off, who knows? Maybe he felt there is something to gain from that.

And I wouldn't worry too much about Sora disappearing. In one of his earlier interviews, Nomura stated that Sora *will* be needed for the eventual KH3, and *will* be needed by the end of the series.

Therefore, Sora is required to make his return eventually.

Remember, KH = Sora's Story.

 

Well who knows... I hope that there WILL be a kh3 even after this one, so that i will follow Sora once more. Anyways, I will buy the new game kh or not, Sora or no Sora. It's just that i came to love that character soooooo much! Well, i hope the next kh will come out soon after this new series first episode.

 

I read something about the next KH will be on PSP, NDS or cellphones on Khinsider. Namura said it in an interview. And it will be different than the other KH games. It will not be a sequal and will not have sora as the main character. He wanted to make a game about Roxas.

Nomura: It is not Kingdom Hearts III, but it is an anecdote (extra or side-story) work! I think Sora [still] has a big role to fill! So let's focus on other characters other than Sora for the following work now. (Tomo's note: Nope, doesn't mean new outfit for Sora...)

Nomura: I did nothing but talk about "Birth by Sleep". Also, I want to explain what Mickey did in the World of Darkness, and also how he got his keyblade.

Nomura: I have a feeling that I want to work on developing Roxas the most. It is interesting to create in one year, the birth of him, and then next, the disappearance of him.

Nomura: I want to make this [new project] slightly different from the Kingdom Hearts' series, and change the system a little.

Nomura: The multi-developing makes me want to put it on something else, without thinking. If we follow this idea, it would be hard to choose if to make the game for the "PSP", "NDS" or the cell phone.

 

Nomura's comment on the DS, PSP, etc was simply a free-handed speculation. Nomura never said he was going to put it on one of these handhelds. Don't overstate your point. He was speaking hypothetically.
