No He isn't black. He's tan. Which is a sign of closeness to darkness along with yellow eyes.

 

I don't think so. If you look at Xehanort himself, the apprentice, he seems to be of Native American decent. I don't think a Heartless can change to a different skin color, nor can a nobody. While the voice actor himself is black, that doesn't mean that the character himself has to be. Just look at Bart Simpson's voice actor. Sure, she's white, but she is still a she, while Bart is a he. The voice actor us there to act out the voice for the character, not provide ethnicity, gender, etc.

 

No he is not. He is just very tan.
The tan skin color is an affect of traveling through the corridors of darkness. In the most serious cases if someone travels through the corridors of darkness too many times, it will corrupt and destroy their heart. Ansem the Wise and Riku are the exceptions to this rule. Although, Ansem the Wise only experiences the smaller of the side-effects being his amber eyes. So as stated, amber eyes and tan skin are just a sign that someone has been traveling through the corridors of darkness for extended periods of time.

And I'd just like to add in that his original voice actor, Billy Zane, wasn't black either. I don't know much about the guy in KH2 sooo thats cool I guess.

Also, he was paler in the flashback that Mickey has when he first sees Xemnas & goes, "Now I know!", so as everyone else is saying it's just an effect of the darkness.

 

i dont know why he is tan, i mean light makes you tanner, so he would of been paler if 'close to darkness' was the reason lol

 

In Namura's artwork of *fake* Ansem and Xemnas, his skin is very dark.

But in the 3D models, his skin is lighter...


in all of my artwork, I try to keep his skin darker, but I don't think he's black... more like... by comparrison, If the rest of the characters are Japanese, he's Fillipino

 

hey? is there a problem with that? well, xehanort was pretty tanned himself, they could be black. Terra looks hawian<< (cant spell)...

 

Xehanort had dark skin as a Heartless, and had longer white hair while Xehanort in the picture in KH2 and Xemnas seemed to be more fairer skin toned. I don't see any real deviation of race really in the two characters. In the end, KH only seems to have mostly Caucasian and Japanese sorts of features on their characters, excluding the Disney ones such as with Aladdin. I.e. Sora and Kairi seem pretty Caucasian while Riku actually with his slanted eyes seems more oriental.

 

He's more tanned than black, I think they made him lighter just to show that he was a heartless in human form. (That's what I think anyway)

Well, Xehanort's Heartless and Xemnas are tanned and amber eyed due to the fact that they've spent so much time in the Realm/Corridors Of Darkness. The black cloaks that the Organization wears protects their users from the darkness. That's how they can use the portals so much. Even though many people without the cloaks have used the Corridors of Darkness, their contact with the Dark hasn't been enough to physically alter them.
