Is this right?

I know this is old news but Illinois passed an act that made it so gay couples cant adopt children.

I just think that this is wrong. Any opinions?

 

We're so homophobic as a society. If gay couples want to adopt children, I find nothing wrong with that. Gay couples should not be discriminated against at all in my opinion, and to disallow them to have a child legally belong to them is just wrong.

I know alot of gay being, so I'm use to it.
But it pisses me off to spot a homophobe making a big deal about it..

The US needs to stop treating homosexuals like aliens and give them their human rights, like marriage and adoption. If not, we might as well go back to sending black people to the back of the bus.

That's just what their doing.
There's nothing wrong with them.
And in Anicent times back in Rome and Greece most men happen to be gay and they didn't care.
They would do as women do. Shave body hair, and things like that..

By doing that, a lot of kids aren't going to have homes. That's the worst act to pass ever.

Yes they're prohibiting gay couples to adopt.
If someone wants to adopt, the Dcfs will send an inspector to check every so often without notice and see if they're a gay couple. If the inspector finds any signs of them being gay the kid(s) cannot be adopted.

 

Not a surprise, but still pretty awful. They should be able to have children if they want to. What if they always wanted to start a family, but obviously can't have children of their own? Adoption is a wonderful thing--it's taking someone else's biological child and raising it as your own. Some might say that the child would be ridiculed in school for having gay parents, which is true, but what kid doesn't get teased for some reason or another? Besides, look at the good that would come out of it. Having gay parents could make the kid far more openminded and less judgmental about people. It would show them that anybody can love anybody, and true love can come out of a homosexual couple as easily as it can come out of a heterosexual one.

You misread it. The act says no to gay adoption. The TC says that it is wrong to refuse adoption to gays.

My opinion is that this is a step down the wrong road. Not a good direction to go in at all. Why not have a second Holocaust while they're at it? (Godwin's law has been invoked...)

 

That's ridiculous, the children need a home anyways. The children would be loved, they'd be wished for, so what if the parents are of the same sex? It's not like you can turn on some switch in your brain and stop being homosexual at will.​
