Is there anyone on this forum that's familiar with fraps?

Well I need someone to explain to me how to use fraps. the one thing I wanna know is the most if there's way to just select a portion of the video, like only record a part of the vid instead of the whole page.

 

I'm not really sure how to record only a certain size, I only know how to use for fullscreen.
You open FRAPS, and on the Movies tab there is the hotkey you use when you want to start recording. By default if I remember correctly it's the F9 button, and F10 for screenshots. You can change it though.
Then minimize fraps, open your game, start playing and press the recording button to start recording, and press it again to stop recording.
Your video will be saved where it says in the program it would be saved.

 

ok thanks kubo! umm hey I just wanted to know...how do I slow down the recording speed for hypercam 2, because it records my vids just fine but when I watch the video it runs too fast? I only downloaded fraps because of the problem with the speed with hypercam 2.

 

In Hypercam's AVI file tab, change the FPS both record and playback options to 30. Perhaps that would fix it.
