Because I've pledged mine to the United States many many many times, and thinking about it I may have made that decision a bit prematurely.

I doubt it counts when you never really meant it. I remember every time I did it I really didn't care and never understood why we did that in class every day.

Always kept my hoodie on while pledging, so....it doesn't count I guess?

    Democracy at its finest.

Get the kids to say it everyday before school starts, more like a repetitive nursery rhyme with no trenchancy.

I believe the ceremony is called "moving to Canada."

Pretty sure most of us were saying the pledge before we even knew what indivisible meant. :L
Or even that the U.S. was a republic; I still remember being taught in elementary that the United States was a democratic republic and the teacher used the pledge to emphasize, and the class was all, "ohhhh, that's what we were saying..."

It's kind of an ABCs effect, "L M N O P" becomes this slur of meaningless gibberish when sung repeatedly.

Sometimes, when you try to be funny, you come off as not being funny.

So from what I've learned, if you try to not act funny, you will come out as being funny.

    I know man.

Lol, I remember school. I quit doing that in like the sixth grade. I pledge allegiance to no man or man made organization. I pledge my allegiance to Panda's because those are some cute but deadly mofos.

    Viva la Pandas!!!

Jokes usually highlight some foolery about the subject or the speaker. Try using more exaggeration, maybe.
