Well, even though i just played the demo. It's kinda lame to me. The gameplay is really bad. The camera is horrible. I would say no, dont buy it.
Well, thanks people... now for the second question^^^^ Sandbox game? I tend to prefer those a lot of the time. It definately makes up for the crappy story, characters, what not... But I have a feeling it isnt.

its okay, I didnt know the meaning until last year...and i've been playing games for 9 years... But anyway its like GTA. You can go anywhere, interact with anything, go on missions and stuff that arent required to win the game. In Spiderman 2, you can go anywhere in Manhattan and take on criminals. Same for spiderman 3 and the new game web of shadows.
Oh.... then, i think no... you're just beating up bad guys.... that's it. nothing else happens. just. beating up. bad guys.
Yeah, it's actually just like superman returns. but when you compare superman returns and Iron man. Superman Returns < Iron Man
Its a game based off a movie, of course it sucks lol. And its not really a sandbox game since its mission oriented and you have to accomplish that mission, but within the mission you do have some freedom. But its pretty fun, especially later on with all the upgrades and stuff. If you love Ironman then you'll get a real kick out of this game, otherwise I'd suggest renting it.
Not even worth a rent. It's one of those games that you'll probably end up playing if you were at your distant cousin's birthday party and he/she so happened to have it.
