    well I've heard that FFXI online is a great game but the price tag seems a little high for a monthly subscription for an online game, is this game worth the $13 per a month price tag or not?

    No, it's not worth it now. Maybe a few years ago if you could cough up the cash each month. Besides, if you do get it, go for the PC stuff. Keyboard>console controller.
