I'm not entirely sure what does it, but a good deal of the forum will not return results when searched for. For example, if I search for everything by me, it goes back a month ago, at best. If I search for Destiny's Force's stuff, it returns one result: A usergroup he made that was last posted in during 2009. In contrast, if I search for Roxas' posts, it pulls up pages upon pages from 2006.

Why does this happen, and is it possible to fix? It makes searching through members' posts very difficult, as it often doesn't return anything for older members.

Because Roxas is a national KHV treasure. Lol, jk.
And why are you searching for people? P is a creeper

Jokes aside. I've never really had this problem. Does this also happen on advanced search? Does it happen when you go to their profile and go to find all forum threads/posts?

Yes to all of the above.

Toshi explained it. It's actually posts between the point of February 2007 and summer 2010 that don't return any results. RvR needs to update the database, or something. Apparently he did it before the hack, but then it got reset.

I tried fixing the search index again, but it takes a long time so I left my computer on over night to do it. I'm not sure if its fixed or not because it may have froze during the process, so if you could test it and let me know if its throwing most of the results back or not.

Throwing nothing from the missing slots back. All my searches are as they were before.

Interesting. If you search for a popular name, such as "Roxas", "Sora", "Kairi", etc. then you get the following error:

It goes away if you check the "exact name" box.
