today i finished a great book and the main characters mentioned that several times and it got me thinking about whether or not thats true, so just post your opinon and details
my opinon is that the quote is completly true, because even the greatest of saints have been caught doing inmoral things, and even if you never actually do anything wrong and you just thought about it then wouldnt you still guilty for those thoughts in your own mind.

I think so. Since nobody's perfect and eventually every1 will make some kind of mistake in their lives, I'm sure they'll feel guilty about something...though some mite not b worth mentioning...

Well, the way it was phrased, it's 100% true.

I can say "I'm guilty of being incredibly-super-duper-awesome".

That 's true, without any disagreement. Just that some people don't mention it, so they make others think that they're number 1 in everything, when in truth, they're not.

I comepletely agree. Everyone has done something wrong, even if they don't admit it. People aren't perfect.

We humans are guilty for contaminating our ecosystem and causing an icredible disbalance between the other ecosystems. Take for example the poles, their melting cause of the humans manipulation of nature and mixing this with that, etc. The pole's sweet water is gonna mix with the ocean's salty water and cause an incredible disbalance in the fish ecosystem, creating an end to meat respurce.

What, im just saying OUR truth! Its not MY fault that all of us humans are damaging our ecosystem and turning it into an infinite garbage disposal. Tsk, tsk, I can always imagine people that always negate the truth.

I am sure we all are fallible and at times are prone to mistakes. Feeling bad about them is part of the healing process and well, keeps us human instead of becoming insensitive to others, and makes the apology all the more real so those affected and the person can heal. It's that conscience or frontal lobe thing going on. The great people and mundane sorts in majority tend to feel some guilt. Not all people do though and that should be noted. We are built differently.

Of course we're all guilty of something, whether it's a physical action or mental idea. It'd be a little strange if someone were to have absolutely no guilt in their life. o.o; How sadistic.

Anyway, just to be bored and stuff... the one thing I'm guilty of that bothers me all the time even though it happened years ago... is how I lost someone who I loved horribly. Her name was Carolyne. She was the best person I'd ever met, and she was so great. Sadly she became emo and found drugs, then got laid soon after because she thought she was worthless.

I still like her a lot, and I always will. It's just that thing that makes me think "If I had stayed with her." And in case you think *I* broke up with her, I didn't. We broke up at the same time. We decided that her getting her parents trust (for sneaking out and us doing things together when we weren't supposed to xD) back was far more important for her. At elast I thought so. =/

Just as a little side note: To those discussing the human contamination threat, humans are a natural thing, everything we do and think is part of our nature, and while the things we create are unnatural, you can't say that it's 100% our fault. You also can't say that the world would be better without us. Humans are the best and the worst thing that ever happened the the planet. Also, by your logic, it is your fault. You're human aren't you?

    Alright...go on...continue discussion...=D

Well it all depends if you feel guilty about what some would deem necessary to feel guilty about. It's relative in its application.

All this because two naked people ate fruit. Relative perspectives indeed.

Yeah, it's a sin to know about right and wrong, apparently.

    Moral relativity ftw.

This question still fails, and I reiterate my first post: I can be guilty of being super-duper-awesome.

Then again, sin is relative too. So I think using it would just make this already ambiguous thread title even more ambiguous.

...And it's not like we're going to be able to touch on the philosophical considerations either. It's always straight answers, or attempting to produce them when from the most objective point of view no one is right or wrong. Sure there are better possible considerations like why we say someone is guilty of murder. But what merit can such a statement hold if the murderer (i.e. a psychopath) doesn't even acknowledge this? We're still holding it in a subjective realm that can always be better.

All humans sin, so thus, everyone is guilty of at least something. However, whether they feel guilty...there's a possiblity they may not. Nonetheless, they would always be in the wrong for at least one thing, no matter what they feel about it or not...all humans are corrupted with a seed of evil, so thus, everyone is guilty of at least one thing.
