Chain of Memories Is CoM harder

is Com harder than KH1 cause i dont want any surprises.

 

Chain of Memories is indeed challenging (for me anyways). I say yes, it is harder than KH1.

 

YES, ALOT HARDER -_- especially when you reach the 10th Floor

 

It depends.

If you've been playing the original KH, you might be confused on the system when you first start. But it gets easier once you start learning how to Card Break and using Sleights.

If you haven't played the first KH in a while, then CoM might actually be slightly easier due to taking a break from the Playstation.

They're both unique in their own ways.

 

I wouldn't say the game is harder; it just takes a while to get used to the card system. CoM was the first KH game I played so I didn't have to go through the trouble of adapting to a new style of gameplay. CoM might be a bit frustrating in the beginning of the game when you only have low level cards, but by the time you can unleash at least 3 Sonic Blades in a row, nothing is really that hard anymore. On later floors all you need to do is spam Tornado, Megaflare, Holy and Sonic Blade and you'll be untouchable. So yeah, in conclusion, CoM is pretty easy, as are the two other Kingdom Hearts games. It's just a matter of getting used to fighting with cards.

 

Riku's story is defintely hard becuz of less flexiblity and the unability to heal whenever you want. but playing as Riku is cool :D

 

CoM was a bit of a challenge for me, but KH and CoM used different fighting systems, it depends on which you prefer.

 

the battle system was different, but IMO no way worse or better. i mean it DOES have it's ups and downs. with the card system comes some sort of flexibility becuz of all the attacks you can pull off but it just pisses you off SO much when you can't break a boss's sleight, lol or when a boss can break your hard earned attack with the press of an A on teh 0 card.

 

it was sort of harder i didnt beat it tho got three fourths through the game got stuck and got tired of trying

 

It was a little tricky/funky the first time around because I was so used to hack n' slash in KH I and now I'm fighting with cards. Now, having taken such a break from the Playstation games, I found it hard to go back to the regular system. I found myself pressing shoulder buttons to set up sleights that weren't there.

I recommend RE:COM if you can, literally feels like the sequel to KHI as opposed to the GBA GAME. I like RE:COM much more then KHI, and I think a bit more then 2 but its close.
