358/2 Days Is anybody else really starting not to like Sora now? (SPOILERS)

After watching all the cutscenes, Sora is really F'd up. This dude is causing identity crisises left and right. Roxas learning he's only a half of somebody else. Xion learning she's an incomplete clone and went seemingly crazy. Riku turned into Xehanort's heartless for this guy. Ansem the Wise died for him.
All of these people are losing themselves, identities and other such things and what is Sora doing?















Some hero.... Does anybody else feel like Sora's a real bad guy here after watching or playing Days?

 

he is ok i guess, i mean he is more relate-able (HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT) then the emo psychopaths that star in all the other Square Enix games (other than like, Aya Brea) then again i should not talk, since i barely play the FF franchise.


Anyways its not his fault, i mean im sure he did not know another being will spawn when he saved kairi and stuff

Sora is F'd up in all games :P The other characters have all more interesting background than he has. He's like a fish out of the water. That's why you shouldn't give much attention to him.

 

Roxas was born the same way every Nobody was, you can't blame Sora for that. Using that logic, you could say that every person who became a Nobody is dislikeable. Xion was made by Xemnas, that made me feel bad for Sora because he was having his memories experimented on again.
Riku turned into Xehanort's Heartless is a result of his own actions. He gave into the darkness at the beginning of KH1, let "Ansem" into his heart, and if that didn't happen the whole story would have been against Maleficent at least until someone else was strong enough to become a victim.
Ansem the Wise died in a way that was supposed to pay for his sins (experimenting on people, causing Xehanort to do what he did). He didn't really die for Sora, but for everyone in an attempt to redeem himself.

That's true, the only character development he has is a small decrease in innocence between the games but it makes him more relatable (like Reptar said)because his background isn't as complex or emo as other characters, even if he is too damn happy all the time

 

He's not directly at fault.

 

That's why I stick with my original opinion from when I started...

I like Riku much better than Sora

 

Um, I don't know?...like save numerous worlds from being eaten by heartless? Defeated almost all of Organization XIII, Defeated Xenoret's (However you spell it) Heartless? Stuff like that. Yeah, he's a dull character, but he's the hero. But I do agree with replacing just for the fact that he isn't as interesting, but the main character usually isn't the most interesting the Square Enix games.

 

I never liked Sora to begin with. I just didn't like his character and with the whole new surprise I found about Xion, has really confirmed my views of the keyblade wielder. Geez Normura what were you thinking?

 

My point exactly. He just had to tie in Sora in that wierd biarazze like illusion that may have changed everyone's view of Sora now....Very messed up...

 

I have yet to play Days, so I guess I'll see what I think of him afterwards.

For right now though, I just think his eternally cheery attitude can get irritating.

 

I find he soo naive.

I think, he got through KH and KH2 through mostly luck.

 

Yeah, luck... And plot shielding. xD

He conveniently gets sucked into a wormhole which saves him from heartless in Hollow Bastion.

 

I actually feel sorry for him. I mean who knows what new damage Xemnas did to Sora while making Xion. Heck I blame Xehanort for what happened to Roxas and Xion.
