358/2 Days Interesting--GameStop is taking preorders!

I recently visited my local GameStop. One of the employees and I got into a conversation concerning Square Enix games, and she suggested that I preorder KH:358/2 Days. Dumbfounded, I asked her when they started taking orders for it. Two minutes later, I walked out of the store with my copy ordered. She said GameStop has it listed as being an August release in America, but I will get a call should that information change. I'm so excited!

If you need proof, I'd be happy to scan the receipt.

I know it isn't the best proof, but that's my receipt. I obviously blocked out my personal information, but there's my proof. :)

You guys should just know that this may not happening at every Gamestop. I should mention that I've called a couple of Gamestop stores when I saw this thread. When I called, I got a bunch of "not sure" answers. They are all very aware of the game, but no release date has been given at this time. The stores that I called were not taken pre-orders from fans. In this case, alukah was very lucky, but it may not be the exact month that the game is coming out. Some video game stores like to give an estimate date, because they know for sure the game is coming out.

 

I think this happened with Kingdom Hearts 2. I remember people were pre-ordering it for a September or something release (and it ended up being late March) so you did pre-order it but the date might be pushed back. It also happened to us with Zelda: Twilight Princess. Gamestop fluxuates with unconfirmed release dates.

Well, at least they do know it is coming out sometime this year.

Yes, I did preorder it. The downpayment on the preorder is only 5 dollars.

I don't see why this is such a big deal. A pre-order just means you'll the game when it comes out. It doesn;t mean that the game's release date will be any closer.

 

No, it doesn't, but it's nice to know that it's coming soon enough for stores to start preordering it. *shrugs* besides, it insures that I have a copy, and that just makes me feel better, you know?

 

If the stores are sold out, then you ensured you have a copy. I can't preorder, firstly, there is no Gamestop, second, no money, lol.
But this is cool, so it could possibly be coming out in August.....

 

I am so going to pre-order it... but how can someone pre-order it for $5?

 

I already pre-ordered my copy a few weeks ago.Thank God I never sold my DS Lite.But,I heard its' gonna cost like $40.Normally games are like 34.99.Or $30.But,it's a little crazy it costs more than normal Ds games.
