In Assassins Creed Revelations

If you go to the Assassins base in ACR, there's a guy smoking pot, I know back in the 16th century it wasn't illegal but still......I find this odd.

 

In accordance with the prophecy, the developers are for the legalization of marijuana?​

 

Must be, never though Ubisoft would support it, but than again their French so what am I to say what they do next?

 

How sure are you it's marijuana?

Plenty of places you can Shisha being smoked legally, it's not like you can tell by the colour of the smoke.

 

Well can't really tell the smoke, its light though and the way he's smoking it is similar to how some people smoke weed. I don't really know how to explain it, anyone else who has the game, can someone explain it better than me? :-I

 

For a start, how is this person smoking said smoke? Paper roll up, wooden pipe, metal Hookah?

 

Metal Hookah, I think that's whats hes smoking on.

 

I believe that could have been any number of substances, including tobacco. You do not have to smoke any specific plant using one of those, or a pipe for that matter.

 

Well they don't explain it, so I guess it could be anything, I don't know it was just a wild guess.

 

If i'm to put alogical guess, it would be the smoking of Shisha.
Namely because, although trade in goods was high, and the Marijuana plantations may not have been far away from Constantinople it wasn't as common as the use of Shisha, especially in public places and wasn't that common in Hookahs. Marijuanna is a less publicly used substance, and is more suited for a home environement with friends and family.

Plus, Ubi would deny anything like that so assume it's Shisha or anything else that would be legal.

While I agree that it's more likely Shisha, I'd like to make the counterpoint that the man in question is situated in the Assassin's Guild, and is a member of a brotherhood that trusts one another with their lives and more every day without question. I think that it would qualify for being a home environment with friends and family, and that if the Assassin in question wanted to have a hit of Marijuanna, they would likely let him.

 

It's better than seeing a Brute jacking off in Halo 3.
