You're walking down the street. You see a woman yelling, shouting and cursing against a boy, probably her son. What would you do?
honestly, I would just keep on walking because I have never met these people before and you dont even know if the boy did something wrong or not...
Not my business, as much as I would like to help. My reaction would depend on the severity of her shouting and the age of the boy.
I'd probably continue walking. Without the any background information the odds of doing something stupid and/or inappropriate skyrocket.
Well.... I would've probably watched them for a while... see if it's just something stupid like spilling ice cream or something else. But then if things start getting out of hand, (like if she suddenly goes physical on the boy) then I would probably call the police and then let them handle it. >> Kind of like and iffy question of what to do since... yeah, like everyone said, no one know the background of this situation.
I would go up to the kid and make sure everything was okay. Couldn't really just leave them there, after some of the stuff I've heard. If I was in the mood I would probably watch them for a bit before intervening.
I argue the **** out of her and refuse to take her answers as somehow justified. Because I'm a nice guy.
I completely agree, if i knew what the case was though and it was child abuse i would try and do something.
Exactly! It all depends on how much you know/how intense it gets. If the kid is like 5 years old, and she starts beating him, then you know somethings wrong. ^Quote applicable - if something happens to the boy which should never happen (beating, etc), you know something is wrong.
I'd most likely just keep walking if it's just yelling. Not my business. If there was something more violent, then I'd try to do something a little more helpful.
I see mothers yelling at their kids all the time in the streets. I just walk on; its usually none of my business. However I sometimes feel sympathy for the kid. xD
since it is none of my business and the woman is not physically hurting the boy to a serious extent i cant really do anything... what i really would do that was not an option on the poll is walk by giving the woman a disapproving look and maybe make a small comment about taking her personal affairs indoors, but thats just me. :D
