I'm thinking in write a history based on a Dream I had on Sat-Sun. I would like to hear some opinions, and also a little help if possible. The history will be something like that... "There are you, having a normal day. You have school, so there you are. In lunchtime, your friends are waiting you on the roof like always. The way to there, you realized the corridors are empty since the 3rd floor (there are 4 floors and the roof). On the 4th floor, you look through the window and notice someone watching you. Is your childhood friend, who you don't see since the 8 years old. But there's something weird, no one's on the gym and... your friend... he's watching you... You hear something coming... steps... when you look again in the window, your friend isn't there. You start to run to the roof. Thinking in something: "He's eyes... aren't the same eyes of my friend... It was... really him?". When you make in the roof, there is a body, dead body. Such a stupid joke... You take a long breath... look towards the skies... Where... are they? My friends? ...And him, my childhood friend... why are he here? What is happing?!" This is a resume of the first chapter of my history. What do you guys think about the history? I already have been thinking the how the history will go on. Names, I need the names: Protagonist (male); Protagonist's best friend 1 (male); Protagonist's best friend 2 (male); Protagonist's best friend 3 (male); Protagonist's friend (female); Another girl; Childhood friend (male). Title, the name of the history... I don't know yet... do you guys have any ideia? When I get some ideias, I'll post per chapters here in this part of the forum. Thank you very much in advance! :) Edit: They're all teenagers.
One good thing would be to structure the story in a way we can understand it. I get the feeling that the story feels and sounds amazing in your head, but getting it out so that everyone else can understand is the hard part. Presentation is important. You show us a small blurb here, but there's really not a lot to go on or give you enough pointers. I can see it's some sort of mystery/horror sort of thing so far, but other than that, there's not a lot to say about the plot. If you have Word (or any word processor), it should be able to correct any spelling mistakes and the like. Which I suggest greatly since I can notice some grammar and spelling issues and these types of words processors really help you with repetition of words enough for you to improve on them. Normally, in stories you use names that sound commonplace enough, yet still memorable. But names really depend on setting and time. I could name a character Cleresponsio, which would be a really strange name, unless it was some olden story, or some explained exception. Same as above, we don't know much about what's going on. So we can't give you a definite title.
