I'm not entirely unconvinced Ash isn't from some sort of Time Abyss.

 

You could say that about the whole show. Even in the games they seemed to age somewhat. Hell, in FireRed/LeafGreen, the rival looks like he ages a bit with just a few sprite changes.

 

The show debuted on April 1, 1997, so if you want to be technical, Ash is 17 years old.

 

I thought this was going to be a thread about trying to send Pokemon via FedEX or UPS.

See, this is why people should do that whole "shipping" thing. They get so into it and claim to see so many hints about something that they expect it to be, and when it doesn't, there's a huge riot. I remember when people were doing that in Once Upon A Time when it started airing.
