I haven't played FF XII since February and I have no ****ing clue where I stopped.
I started playing and I'm not where I was expecting.

I still haven't finished the game, I consider picking it up every now and then and starting again, but I've clocked like 120 hours into my old save file, I don't want to do that again...

I've got 37 hours on it, which is really nothing, for some reason I feel like I should have way more than that.
The game seems so long, and I feel like I should be way further along than I am, but somehow I'm only around half way from what I can tell.

I was considering starting again, but like I said I feel like I've done so much, and would just rather continue from where I left off.

I think I'm actually pretty far into it, there's just a ridiculous amount of level grinding you have to do.

I had a feeling. At 37 hrs my highest leveled character is 32, ridiculous.
Maybe the reason for all my slow progress is that at the time I started playing I hadn't played any FF game with the intent of taking it seriously and finishing it, so I was trying to take it all in. I mean, it's not like I'm just dicking around when playing it.

I play mostly for the story to be honest, I like gameplay but story is so much more important to me. Case in point, I love KotOR even though its gameplay is ****.

I think my strongest character is in the 60-65 range, at 120 hours. ._. It helps when you get the armband that doubles your EXP but I'm close to maxing out some of the license board and I still know I have so much grinding ahead of me.

I love FF XII, but yeah if you stop playing you totally lose track of what's going on. While playing the game I knew every character besides the main party and all the ins and outs of the story, and now that I beat it I have forgotten a lot of it already

To me video games are just another story telling medium, which is why for the most part I only play rpgs. I wont say gameplay is unimportant, but it certainly is not going to make or break a game, and if the story does not interest me, I won't even try it.

I think I'm at a little over half for the license boards, I remember grinding for them a little because I wanted all the Quickenings like immediately.[DOUBLEPOST=1346559279][/DOUBLEPOST]
I remember that the story and setting is what attracted me to it in the first place, but having taken such a long break, I hardly remember anything about it other than the most important points.

Yeah the setting is so beautiful. I love all the art and music for the game. Yeah maybe you should just figure out where you are and watch some cut scenes on youtube to refresh your memory

I absolutely love the video at the menu for those reasons. I usually find myself watching the whole thing before I start playing. The music is beautiful, and the clips of video that show various characters and places are as well.

The more I think about it the more details come back to me. I;ll just read up somewhere after I figure out where I am.
