basic stuff from messing around while trying to make my avatar lol I have NO graphic experience whatsoever and the edits are very simple soo I mean idk what you guys are even going to have to say (except "don't do this again" most likely) but CnC is welcome as always ALSO: The sizes are... Weird. Sorry. Spoiler My overlay kind of turned everything green on this one and idk what to do (he's got... green teeth)you can't escape the green
Lexi these are so niiiiice. *u* Are you still using Vegas to make them or would you like me to get you a proper editing program? I do especially like the icon you've using, but the rest are really nice! This one, for example, has quote lovely light. As for the green teeth one, I wouldn't worry--that's a common issue when doing color edits. A lot of people who make icons seriously jack up the colors and their characters often look like they have some sort of horrible red sunburn (read: me), so you're not the only icon maker guilty of creating small awkward parts. And it's a fairly easy thing to fix, too. The only problem I have with some of them is how they can feel really washed out, which is a look I like, but it can go a bit sour sometimes. This one just feels kind of murky and under contrasted. But you have good compositional instincts and it's a nice start!
Thank you ;~; & indeed, these were all made using Vegas. That's why the sizes are a little funky actually; I think it forces them into a proper film aspect ratio... There might be a way to override that but I haven't poked around with the settings that much haha (it doesn't look like it, though -- It doesn't even acknowledge that the sizes are off until after saving). I'm glad you like them! That's a relief about the color edits lol. And yeah, I see what you mean about the washed out look. Takes lots of practice to get it right I'm sure.
I'm really liking these. c: How To Train Your Dragon is one of my favorite movies. Hiccup. <3 Anyway, I really like how these are coming out, I just think you can do a little more to spice these up a little! And as Misty said, some look a little washed out, and I'd suggest messing with the resizing before applying any colors, like when cropping for an avatar, make the dimensions two sizes too big, and then resize to make a more clear image. For example, I resize my pictures to 500 by 500 pixels before resizing to 150 by 150, or 200 by 200. It really looks different in the 500 by 500, but it'll look better, I promise. But great job, dear. Keep up the good work. c:
