358/2 Days If the new game has....

I was wondering since the new DS is cool and advanced and stuff would the new game has voice-overs ? or just a cheap production I trust square enough even partial voices. what do you guys think

 

Nomura says that he is trying to get as much VO onto the game as possible, which is a good sign. The World Ends With You, another top class DS game, had voice overs too. (Not much though, but then there were a lot of songs with vocals on it.)

You mean The World Ends With You? You should definitely check it out. It's honestly one of the best games I've ever played.

 

I was gonna buy it but I bought Final fantasy A2 instead I'll go get it tommarow or somthing!

It's possible that it might have Voice Overs.
Since the DS is the one of the Next Gen portables.
And i have seen some DS games with voices.
So, it's possible.

 

It does make me wonder...I doubt it though. The DS' graphics are bad enough as it is, and I think 358/2 days would be particularly long if it includes multiplayer, and all the missions. I think Nomura would try his best to conserve memory than rather have voice-overs. That seems more like a psp sort of thing.

 

Yeah I don't know if the DS card has enough memory. Nomura said a while ago that he was having trouble getting VO's onto the card because of memory issues (i think)

 

Square Enix has already developed 2 games with full Voice-Overs, competing software studio Mistwalker has as well, and the aforementioned Megaman ZX, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, etc.

There are already several examples of DS games having full casts of voice actors

 

not forgetting that FFCC-Ring of Fates had lots of voice overs too. Since the graphics in that are quite good (there's even some FMVs) we can expect a higher standard for 358/2 days.

 

that really depends whether se will use a larger storage for the game: there are 128mb and the 256mb
128 was use often with se titles but 358/2 days really deserves all the space it needs so the 256mb cart could be used if they don't drop-ideas to save space and go with the cheap solutions...

 

It's probable that there will be voice overs. There were partial voice overs on CoM, and that was with inferior technology. It wouldn't surprise me if there were VO's. It would surprise me if there weren't. If Nomura is having issues with Memory storage, he might just put the game on two cards. Kinda like a disc one disc two thing. <:

 

sound nifty, if there was a way to eject a ds card without the main game reseting :/

 

yeah I figured that part the hard way I was playing and I ejected the GBA cartrige and it reset and it was so horrible!

 

Chain of Memories was for the GBA. We have the DS now, and I believe it should be capable of handling voice-overs in the video games.

 

Nevermind what I said then...

Still I was wondering, how long are these games? Like in terms of amount of hours it takes to beat them?
