If Marluxia succeeded in overthrowing the Organization, and taking over a Keyblade user, how would it be different for the Organization and their plans in Kingdom Hearts II?

Sora would have been a slave to the Org. Riku would have been the hero, teaming up with Roxas, Mickey and Ansem the Wise, to defeat the Org.

Also, I dont think Marluxia would have been quite as evil as Xemnas.

Hmm...I believe Namine would've sacrificed herself before that happened. It also depends if and when Axel interferred.

But if we're assuming that Axel hadn't interferred (killing Vexen either way) and Namine was still forced to go through with the plan, Xemnas would've probably beaten Sora when he encounters him for a second time. My reasoning is that since Xemnas survived the first encounter and Sora had stayed active that entire year he was sleeping, he wouldn't have gained the necessary abilities to destroy the Organization. Remember, the only ones who were truly the traitors were Marluxia and Larxene. Riku would've already killed Lexaeus and Zexion as planned. Vexen would be out of the picture. Roxas would've still been on Xemnas' side. Axel's not interferring. That leaves Xemnas, Xigbar, Xaldin, Saix, Demyx and Luxord against Marluxia and Larxene.

Besides, they don't call Xemnas the "Superior" for nothing. With Sora turned to the dark side, Kingdom Hearts would've taken even longer to complete. And since Sora is no longer complete, it would be ironic if Roxas was the one to kill Sora, never knowing that he just destroyed his other half.

    Here are my answers:

If Marluxia won then... you would have gone back to the previous save.

    or

If marluxia won then like all the others above would happen but Kingdom Hearts would be flower shaped.

I agree with Darkness grows within.
I also think that Marluxia would try to get Riku to be his slave too.

  8. I give you credit for actually explaining the answer instead of trying to be funny.

I think even if they succeeded in Castle Oblivion, there was still many obstacles to consider. One point, would be Riku, which if he would ever find out what they were doing to Sora, he's definitely going to interfere. If not, Naminé will crack one day, and if not by Axel, some other way. Not to mention Marluxia and Larxene had to deal with the Organization if they ever disagreed...it was many flaws, actually. Anything could've gone wrong. And I even think Larxene would've betrayed Marluxia later on in some way as well, since she doesn't appear as someone who wants to share power or be under anyone else's rule (though this is merely speculation, she might've had more honor than that).

    *cracks knuckles*

No she wouldnt have. Look at how long she waited. Sora lost ALL his outside memories, and the only reason she ran was because Axel let her go. Axel basically had to spell it out for her, "Marluxia is going to be gone for a while, I'm not getting in your way" and she still hesitated on leaving. She was Marluxia's puppet. :( Poor kid.

I dont think Xemnas could have beaten Sora and Marluxia together. Even with the help of the other survivors. Sora took out the Organization basically single handedly.

Also, I am assuming that the only way Marluxia would have won, would be if Axel was a traitor as well. Since he did seem to be in on it.

What abilities did Sora gain while he was sleeping??? I dont get it. The only reason he is stronger in KH2, is because Roxas joined him.

Lex and Zex would still have been killed. Also, Riku didnt kill Zex, Axel used Repliku.

Why would Roxas be on Xemnas side???? Dude, he was already a disgruntled Org member, and even left the Org on his own. If Axel coached him, he would have left earlier.

If your going to measure up both sides, Xemnas doesnt count, he was sleeping. And I'm sure Marluxia would take him out early, hes not an idiot. Marluxia is borderline genius.

That leaves, Xigbar, Xaldin, Saix, Demyx (does he count?), and Luxord vs. Sora, Roxas, Axel, Marluxia and Larxene. Sounds somewhat more even doesnt it?

Ok, if your going to start talking character streanths. Axel, Larxene, Saix,Xigbar are typical Org members, in other words VERY STRONG.

I will give Xaldin elite status, because he dethroned so many would be heroes who played KH2.

I would have given Saix elite status, but he draws his berzerk power from the completed psuedo Kingdom Hearts. Since this theoretical civil war would take place long before Kingdom Hearts is complete, he would not be elite status.

Xemnas is strong, almost elite, but not quite. Remember how easy he was before he channeled Kingdom Hearts into his body. The only reason other Org members respect him is because his element is nothing, which gives him the power to turn things into dusk. But... he would be in the middle of a nap during the civil war, so thats a mute point anyway.

Demyx is basically a joke... sorry, but see my sig. Minus 1 for the loyalist.

Sora, Roxas and Marluxia are extreamly powerful, definatly elite status! Look at how strong Marluxia is. Joke about his hair, or flower petals all you want, he is no scrub though. He rocks dude. Just look at his final form. And thats without channeling the power of Kindom Hearts.

Sora, dude just play the game, you'll see. Roxas, dude... he took down Riku. Riku had to use his ansem form just to take him down.

Riku would eventually take down the Org with the help of Mickey and Ansem the Wise.

Namine would probably be eliminated once Sora was brainwashed into thinking Marluxia was god or something.

I dont think Marluxia and Larxene would have to deal with traitors. Exept for maybe Roxas and Axel. Even then, they still have Sora as an insurance.

Larxene would take out Marluxia eventually. Or maybe, they would split everthing into two, "You rule this half of the universe, I'll Rule that half."

LOL, like a divorce... I just realized thats what it sounded like after I typed the first half. And no, I dont think Larxene has honor.

  10. QUOTE=ICSP;1439482]Riku would eventually take down the Org with the help of Mickey and Ansem the Wise.[/QUOTE]

That's exactly what I said in the beginning of Riku interfering *raises eyebrow*.

Perhaps a joke ^^, but if it's not, here you go:

Naminé would've not been eliminated , since she's a integral and important part of the story -- Kairi's Somebody, as well as having a special power over Sora. If it ever did happen, you can bet the blonde would remain breathing throughout it, either by joining Riku when she has the chance after her guilt overtakes her, and apologizing to Sora (we all know he'll accept), or make things right by fixing and rechaining Sora's memories, as well as break the spell she had him in, hence, intercepting Marluxia's rein, which would lead to his defeat.

Not eliminated. In the end, she'll just return to Kairi. And I think brainwashing Sora into thinking Marluxia was a God is a bit prepestorous, and even then, it will still remain fact that Naminé will live.

The whole Organization, has a serious problem with betrayal. They all respect Xemnas, it shows in each one, as you walk through and see in both CoM and KH2. In FM+, not even, just simply KH2, you saw their reaction and attitude towards Marluxia, Larxene, Roxas, and Axel, in the end. In CoM, Zexion, Lexaeus, and Vexen were trying to stop Marluxia's plans. They might show some type of "disappointed" from the loss of members, and some others that they like more than the rest (due to Luxord's question as to why he betrayed them *to Roxas*, to Demyx saying to just come back to them), but if the order is to eliminate, they will do so. If a member is marked a traitor, for the rest is the same.

I said I think she might've had some honor, not that she does, it was even just a idea, as I stated. Larxene stabbing Marluxia in the back would be a sure chance of happening in reality. The strong personality wouldn't let her be second fiddle to someone else, to simply being the sidekick.

    Alright...

Not quite. Remember that Sora had his friends alongside him as well. True, they were almost useless, but Sora isn't a one-man army. And the only reason he took them out single-handedly is because they decided to attack him one at a time. If the Organization were smart, they would've teamed up on him instead of spreading out their forces like that. Now, I'm not calling them stupid. I'm just saying they could've coordinated their moves a bit better.

He was the wild card out of the Organization. He wasn't in it to build Kingdom Hearts. He was trying to keep Roxas alive.

That's my point exactly. Sora wouldn't have been able to take down Xemnas (let alone the other Org members) if Roxas hadn't re-merged with Sora. (Remember, if Sora was on Marluxia's side, he would've never destroyed either Marly or Larxy. Add that to the fact he had Donald and Goofy helping him. He was getting his butt handed to him by Larxene before Donald and Goofy came in to save him.) Sora couldn't finish Xemnas off in KH:FM, because Sora wasn't strong enough at the time. Plus, Roxas had already been created so Sora was no longer at full strength.

Either way, that's two Org members out of the fight.

He was only on Xemnas side because he didn't know what to do at the time. We're assuming this is taking place during the CoM timeline. Roxas hadn't left yet. He only left AFTER Sora went to sleep in the pod. If Sora was under Marluxia's control, Xemnas would've sent Roxas after them eventually. Sure, Roxas would've hesitated if he met Sora face to face. But another Org member would've probably been around to back him up in case Marluxia or Larxene decided to get into the fray.

Yeah, I'll give Marluxia the "evil genius" status. He probably would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling kids. :xp: Sorry, I just had to say it.

But since we're talking about if he had succeeded in converting Sora to his side, he might've gotten to Xemnas, if the other Org weren't on their guard.

Like I said before, Axel wasn't on their side. And Roxas "might" have been on Xemnas' side based on what I said above.

If Xemnas WERE dethroned, it'd most likely either be Xigbar or Saix who'd take charge. Remember, they still go by rank by number. Sure, Saix is below Xigbar, but either of them might have taken control before Marluxia could. And since Xaldin's elite status and loyal to the Organization, he might be strong enough to take on either Marluxia or Larxene.

True. Xemnas probably would've been out of the fight. Maybe. It depends when he was sleeping, though.

Definitely true. One kunai from Larxene would've eliminated him instantly. :xp:

Well, sure. With everyone's attacks limited to cards, it'd be pretty difficult to take him down. Fight him outside of Castle Oblivion, though, and his main advantage is gone.

That's assuming Roxas would even be on Marluxia's side. But he's not. In fact he was probably completely in the dark about the events of Castle Oblivion.

Maybe. But he was only helping Ansem because he was trying to wake Sora up. If Sora had never gone to sleep, he would've been forced to fight Sora. And since Riku used his Xehanort's Heartless form (remember even in KH2, Sora couldn't defeat him in the LoD) he would've been a contender that even Sora couldn't take down by himself.

Plus, Sora only defeated Xehanort's Heartless with the help of Donald and Goofy. But even Donald and Goofy would've realized what was going on and probably would've went against the entire Organization if the King told them to.

Hm...maybe not. Remember, Marluxia only got to Sora because he had him believe that he trying to save Namine. If Namine was taken out of the equation, Sora would no longer have a reason not to destroy Marluxia.

Sora never defeated Axel. In fact, he never went all out when fighting him. The lack of actually getting into an all out battle with him means that we don't know Axel's true strength since he pulled his punches against Sora.

Yeah, right. Larxene would've taken Marluxia out as soon as she found the opportunity. Of course, she wouldn't have been able to take on everyone else by herself. And when I mean everyone else, I mean the rest of the Organization, Riku, Mickey and anyone else that had a grudge against her.

If Marluxia had taken Sora, he had plans to try to get Xemnas 'While he was asleep'. He wanted to take him down and get the power of the Organization behind him. In a way, I see that it just would have interfered dramatically in the Org's plans because Marluxia was a schemer but there was no way the other Org members would have followed him.

I think if Marluxia had won by taking Sora into his fold, he still had to contend with Riku who had a separate war that Marluxia did not even pay any real attention to and it was going on roughly at the same time as Sora's mess. King Mickey and DiZ were also there. Looking at events as they unfolded, I can see some things changing.

    1. Since Axel freed Namine, she still would have helped Riku against Zexion. He would have gone through and done the things he did and probably, since King Mickey rendezvoused with Riku and DiZ on the first floor they would have proceeded up the levels as they had to any way.

    2. Marluxia did have Namine upstairs but had to go fight Sora so in this, he had to release her. She'd have fled down the stairs to Riku and King Mickey because there's no way she was going to stand against Marluxia. If she tried to play the hero, well, Marluxia would have killed her. Her uses were finished. She'd already also proven she had no capability in battle whatsoever and he'd have had a good taunt at her before slaying her in cold blood (or cold Darkness).

    3. He would probably have ran away since that is what Marluxia always did and if he was to use Sora, since Namine would doubtfully cooperate, he'd have to keep images up and go then trying to beat Axel to informing people on what Marluxia schemed. He did not confront anyone direct if he didn't have to and hid behind Namine, used Replicas of himself etc. He would have tried to take Sora and do his plan which was to take out Xemnas. It is either that or he'd be dumb and be scheming still by the time Riku and the other 2 or 3 arrived to take him on. If Riku had taken him on with King Mickey and DiZ, Marluxia was toast. Of course, Marluxia would first hide behind Sora, which would force Riku, King Mickey and DiZ to fight Sora but they'd win that too, knocking some sense into him or KO'ing him to get him treated.

    4. If Marluxia somehow fled because he'd lose Sora in all that and if Namine were still alive, he'd get his memories back and all was lost, he'd be on the run. Axel still had gotten away and would have informed the other Org members about Marluxia's duplicity. Marluxia would be far more wanted than Axel was in KH2. They also would have prevented him from going to the other castle in TWTNW. His mission would be a failure and sooner or later either the Org would have offed him or sent Sora after him as a frame up in KH2.

Since there never was a real time before that it looked like Sora was going to 'fall' to Marluxia, it seems this (the ending) is the only point he could have 'won' Sora and I just can't see him leaving with Riku and King Mickey who could easily double team about anyone. The only thing that would be bad is if Namine had not been around because Marluxia killed her after 'standing in his way'. Then, Sora would not have gotten his memories back but also, he might have turned against Marluxia himself if he were informed of Namine's death since she was his replacement Kairi and he was fighting for her. This could have had dramatic effects on KH2 and changed what Riku had to do as well. Ultimately though, Marluxia would have died sooner or later because it was a stupid plan. He was nowhere near strong enough to contend with the other members of the Org like Xigbar, Xaldin and Saix, let alone he couldn't really stand up to Axel and hid behind a girl. He had power but not enough and he never would have gotten enough since foes were right below to stop him and Axel had left and probably already the other Org members would have known of Marluxia's treachery before he could step out of the Castle with Sora.

As for the issue of if Sora fought against the Org, what would happen? I think Sora would have not had his 'Heart' in it and thus lost. Marluxia's plan would have been reported and the Org may have killed Sora or let Sora's friends deal with him. Sora's fights and prowess dramatically depend on him having his Heart into what he does and I am sure if Riku did not get Sora at the Castle Oblivion, he'd have stopped at nothing to get his friend back and save him and DiZ (though his motives would be different) would have helped as would King Mickey. Also, DiZ may have said information about Roxas and well, the events from KH2 may have been shifted but Sora and Roxas may have joined one another again to fight, and Riku, having the memory of what transpired would try to help him, or both of them if they did not merge back. In the end, I don't see Marluxia living at all no matter what happens, even if KH2 were dramatically turned around. He was potent but he was also a backstabber sort of Assassin who when confronted directly turned into a pansy having to use other things to face things. It wouldn't help him against the other Org members who also could call up things and Axel would have said something or taken him out as a matter of 'completing his mission' since it was so important to him. It wouldn't help him against the combined efforts of King Mickey and Riku.

I don't believe that would be so. In CoM, Sora fought to protect Naminé, even when knowing his memories were fake. "Maybe my memories are fake. But they're still mine." If Naminé made Sora fight for something he believed in, he defiantly would do so with all his heart.

Sure, but I don't see Namine at all working with Marluxia after the point. If Sora fell, she only had to dark portal down to get Riku and King Mickey etc. Without fighting for Namine, what did he have? If Namine had stayed, I don't see her working for Marluxia. She did take a stand at the end, even if it was amusing because she is absolutely worthless physically.

Could she really have just opened up a portal? Marluxia could just as easily go after her. And if she was really able to do it, why didn't she do it before?

Yes, she could portal... she did it at the end of KH2...

Why she didn't: she was Marluxia's puppet.

What he said. Her 'protector' would be gone and she'd flee. She didn't before that because she had no real hope of getting out. Marluxia and Larxene really worked her over on self-confidence. This is also why it took her so long to figure Axel really -was- letting her run for it.

Alright, but we all agree that Marluxia was doomed as soon as he decided to betray the Organization, right?

Yeah, I think we all are nearly unanimous on the point of whether he got away with some of it or not, he was going down. I'm pretty sure regardless of how it turned out, he was toast because there were just too many things against him. With only really Larxene on his side at all in earnest I don't see his success as positive. I think if push came to shove, Larxene isn't -loyal- as much as she's a survivor. I think she'd probably turncoat on Marluxia when the situation came to it. In the end, he'd started it up and would have ended up probably on his own too.

Yeah, basically what I said. You paraphrased me.

No... in the scenario I outlined (Axel joining the traitors) he had a very good shot to win.
