Last year I went on a trip with my family to Hawaii. Exploring the city one day, I couldn't help but think about how well it would suit a game in the style of TWEWY: It has a strong Japanese influence Their own colloquial legends A unique city scape Lots of stores Just wandering the streets in the evening kept reminding me of TWEWY, I think Hawaii would be a logical next step for the franchise, provided it doesn't go the way of the Chono franchise...
I can see that happening. Though I don't know if they'll do that. They might still totally focus in it being set in Japan. I would like to see it happen in Hawaii, a different place and setting would be pretty cool.
