These are quite nice. I like the way they've been arranged too, something not many people take the time to do. The placements you've got going here are pretty nice. Fairly eye-catching. However, I think some more effects are in order here. They would really help make these look just that bit more interesting. From what I can see, it looks like you have put some effects in, unless they were there by default. But yeah, good job! Just add some effects in next time!
All of these images have black gradients fading them out on at least one edge. Avatars are very small and square and should not have any kind of border like that in my opinion. Go for something that stands out with equal brightness across the image. As it is, they all look like they were standing in a very dark room. Shadows are fine so long as they denote a certain level of light, but you have darkness all around and then the face. That is not very attractive or realistic. Avoid using lighting techniques on icons if you can help it.
