I wanna ask something very random

Have you ever got a site blocked at school/college/work?

I have, me and my ex friend got merseymail block at school since we was always e-mailing each other on it while in IT and we was sitting right next to each other.

And me and my IT class at college got youtube blocked since we was on it every lession.

so have you done that?

Yes I am bored and random, leave me alone okay.

 

Me and my friends got gmail blocked because during class we would have our gmail up and be gmailing each other <>

I got Hotmail and IM blocked at my school^^

 

We get gaming sites banned on our PC's (except for in Graphic Com).. that's the only sites I really tried visiting when I'm bored :/

 

I never got anything blocked from the school...but I know the principal blocked the cafeteria once. In terms of computers, the school blocked the computers' GHz, and RAM from the darn computer. Seriously - pardon my french - it is slower than turtles having ES-EE-ECKS in Jell-O

 

I've said this before but what the heck.

I've had several sites blocked in my school because of me. I was the number one user in my school so i would spend 70+ per month on the computers, but i was doin' serveral school projects during that time on the computers. So i would have to visit loads of online shops & stuff, but i would also look at other sites that had yet to be blocked. Also i found links that had yet to be blocked by the school, so i could go into my emails & stuff. Eventually i found out that the Education Board was tracking me & was closing the sites & links i used. My brother told me a way to turn of the blocks but that would've resulted in my being suspended.

 

I got EVERY forum site blocked at school. Youtube is blocked. Everything fun is blocked really. =/

 

...My previous school blocked KH-Vids, under the catagory of Games....WTF??? XD

Strange thing? I was on it once....I don't get that at all....O.o;

 

Wow that sucks, I'm kinda shocked why this site isn't blocked at college yet, since I come on every time I'm on a computer (apart from when I'm in the library)

 

Our school has an automatic system that blocks things for the most random reasons >_> I got KH-Vids blocked but it's unblocked now in the new term for some reason =D

 

I know Youtube is blocked at my school, but a lot of the other fun sites I go to aren't. >3

Like KH-Vids isn't, so I sometimes go on there at school, and I can also send emails. XD

 

I dont know yet. I just got to high school and havent tried anything yet. But I know KH-V wasnt blocked at Middle School. >D

but i learned how to get past them, and i'm learning the admin password. :P

My campus has the strangest blocking system. I know it was put into place because some less than smart people were viewing/printing pr0n on the library computers.

I was trying to do research for a paper and every site I tried was blocked for phishing. xx;

I know one of the forums I tried checking was blocked because it matched a "similar" site that had 'bikini, nudity, lingerie' on it.

Strange isn't it?

 

I don't know what sites are blocked at my school cuz i'm a freshman. F-R-E-S-H-M-A-N. Got it memorized?
By the way do you think schools should give out lists of blocked sites. S-I-T-E-S. Got it memorized?

My friend somehow went on a website and put in a password she got from a teacher's desk and unblocked myspace and youtube.

I'll answer you, but be prepared for a long story.


Now, I know how to stop history from recording, (Private Browsing, in the Safari menu. It was designed for blocking history so if you're sharing a computer with someone, they can't go back in the history menu and get your passwords and stuff. It's been abused XD) so while I'm I'm doing schoolwork, and about 99.9% of my schoolwork is done on the computer, I'll keep turning Private Browsing on and off, and switch between this and my schoolwork. My mom knew I was doing it because it started taking me about twice as long as usual (she had no proof that I was doing it, of course, but still) and she decided to take action. She asked me for my password to my account. She did the same for my brother. She changed the passwords to both of our accounts, and my dad's just to be safe (which was unfortunate because I knew dad's password. I also know her iTunes, Amazon, and Apple password.) The only account we could log into was a new one named "School". She told us the password so we could get in to do our school. She also had "Parental Controls" on so we could only access our school websites. She had every website blocked except my school websites >.< I can still get to this website and lot's of others, but only on my account, which I have to have her log into for me since I don't know my own password.

 

We're not allowed to use the computers in the library unless if it's for homework.
