I work in a low-level position for a company that he owns. I couldn't be more lowbrow if my eyes were on my cheeks. I'm just venting my frustration with my job using my company's owner to focus that frustration.

I aspire to use my fist to create a strong impact on the throat of the man who owns the company that I hate working for but do because I can't afford to have a job in which I find fulfillment, self-worth, and societal value.

The only bras I've been in contact with in recent memory have smelled like burning oil or chlorine. Today I opened a package with forty 32Bs, all marked as "Too Small/Too Short" and I know they were the correct shipment because they all matched the shipping label, returns receipt, and invoice. If you still aren't getting why I find this so frustrating, take a moment to consider that this means that some woman in the world (North Carolina, to be specific) is (a) unaware that it is possible to measure one's boobs before ordering forty boob restraint apparatuses and (b) somehow wealthy enough afford forty of them in one purchase. This is, in my opinion, worse than the toothpick thing.

They actually dropped (and maybe combined) a bunch of those a while back. Now it's just Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, Henri Bendel, and La Senza. I especially find it ridiculous that The Limited is no longer owned by The Limited.

I hate that I know this, but I'm forced onto their website to log into their network every time I go on break. It's not that bad, though. The fact that we have wi-fi in the breakroom shows that L Brands at least knows how to pretend to care about its employees associates.

Victoria's Secret is not a company I've made a purchase with and I plan to keep it that way for several reasons.

Yeah, but their preferred terminology is "associates." Also, they never fire anybody. There is an awful lot of "laying off" and "termination of assignments," though. It's HR. What are you gonna do?

Eh, I kinda want it to be a consensual throat punch. He seems like a good guy. He just owns a company with working conditions make me want to cut off my own feet.

 

I really don't want to be rude here or anything, but if you really don't like the job and it takes you the point where it is making your life miserable, you are doing yourself a major disservice by not looking for a different one.

Now before anyone assumes that I do not understand the day to day struggles of "needing" a job. It should be made aware that for years I've been doing everything in my power to keep my best friend from being homeless. He has a job he hates because he is treated poorly, but even someone who has had to sleep in his car, has no parents to go home to, and is plagued by bills, has done everything in his power to find a better job.

If this is just a "complain about 'x' thread" then try to remember that the way you look a things in life changes everything. This miserable job pales in comparison to how some people have it, and sometimes it helps to just count your blessings. If you are looking for something to complain about, you will always find, because you want to.

 

Poking my nose in here, there is always someone that has it worse. Purple knows it, I know it, we all know it. That does not mean she needs to be reminded of that, or guilted into feeling bad for not liking her situation. Yes she could get another job, but sometimes there are certain situations where another job cannot be obtained. She came here to complain to people who could relate. So let her have that. We all have **** days.

Not really. You're saying that she should change her perspective and be grateful for having a job, a place to live, food to eat, etc. Positively looking at things is great, and it really does help, but no one can do it one hundred percent of the time. Maybe I just read your comment wrong, and I didn't mean to offend, but my point was just let her complain for a bit.
